  1. Challenge for Ford Truck history experts

And a 1926 Tudor. They got fancy by then. :)
  2. New GMC Canyon Now Shown!

Ladies, and gentlemen, we have a tie for the ugliest front grill. Cast your votes for the Canyon or the Tundra.
  3. F150 lightning price increase

I think that is the "catch" the vast majority of EV buyers don't know, or think about. Politicians are not going to allow road tax revenue to drop, so they will come up with all sorts of imaginative ways to recoup any loses. I do see the point of those taxes, but some people are going to be...
  4. F150 lightning price increase

I got in on Oct. 3, '20 as I didn't want mine until 2022. Yeah, that's funny now. I was advised by my dealer that I would be lucky if mine was a '24 model (I wouldn't drop some of the sinful options). I finally gave up, and dropped out in June this year.
  5. F150 lightning price increase

And this Lightning rollout isn't going any better than Fords rollout of the Bronco and Maverick. There are still day 2 (07/2020) Bronco reservation holders that don't have a VIN.
  6. Rangers at work.

That's the ticket Patrick. We all know that those 6 inches mean a lot. :giggle:
  7. EV`s use more tires

Maybe they can be recycled at all of the EV battery recycling centers we have around the country. See what I did there Rick? :) BTW, since we're on one of "those discussions". What oil should I run in my Ranger, do I need a catch can, and what gas is best. I won't go into the need of a...
  8. F150 lightning price increase

I don't think a lot of those buying the Lightening has thought it through to a logical conclusion. At best this truck would be good for a weekend warrior run to Lowes for some pine needles to spread around their bushes. For real work it just isn't ready for prime time.
  9. F150 lightning price increase

11....11 you say. You must have gotten the hybrid model. Mine wouldn't do 10 if I drove it off a cliff. Oh wait, I think maybe it was that I loved that supercharger whine a little to much. :)
  10. I spent yesterday truck shopping. Current state of dealers offers in Ohio...

Nailed it Rick. When one President started NAFTA I though this can't be good. And it wasn't. When another President started CAFTA I thought, this ain't gonna be good. And it was worse. This once great Nation is now a service industry, and sadly we have to depend on countries that hate us to...
  11. Hello from South Florida

Welcome Frank. Even waiting a year it's hard to say what model year/generation it will be. Things are in such a mess right now it's a roll of the dice.
  12. Investing And Building Wealth

Yep, there's probably no mistake you can make that many of us here hasn't already made. :)
  13. Investing And Building Wealth

Wow Doug, you're still a pup. I was wearing a gun before you were even a sparkle in your Daddy's eye. :turkey: :turkey: :turkey: :turkey:
  14. Investing And Building Wealth

Daniel, it's amazing how something that simple can be so important. I'm one of those that married my childhood sweetheart. Due to college expenses we didn't get married right away (long story). We were together 6 years before we could afford to get married, and of course it wasn't easy starting...
  15. Journalists Hook RV Up to $93K Electric Truck, Found It Wouldn't Even Make 100 Miles Before Needing a Recharge

Now Rick, virtue signaling is much more important than the amount of miles an EV will go. And of course in true Government style they must get the cart before the horse. This is episode 4 of The Fast Lanes test from Colorado to Prudho Bay, AK. in the Lightning. It basically shows that EV's, and...
  16. FORD to eliminate dealerships ?

It wasn't until Farley, and Ford started having problems with their special baby the Lightning did he get serious. Bronco order holders were getting the high hard one when they went to pick up their Broncos, and Farley/Fords response was "Dealers are independent, and we have no control over the...
  17. Investing And Building Wealth

I understand the apprehension Gibs. Anybody my age knows it well. Remember, nothing worthwhile is ever easy. Good luck on your decision young man.
  18. Bouncy hood

That's the way to go first for sure Chris. I had in my mind that the way Ford has been going the last couple years they had just up, and discontinued the hood bumpers for the '22's. It wouldn't surprise me at all......:)
  19. Investing And Building Wealth

Miss Tracy, richness of life beats richness from money. And from what we know of you, your life is full of richness. And, you are so right. Being debt free is a wonderfull feeling. It's not easy to get there as it takes a lot of work, and ton of doing without sometimes. But, it's worth all of...
  20. Investing And Building Wealth

I have a friend like that. Just enough is good enough for him, and he'll never have anything but debt the rest of his life. Oh well, to each his own. I thought about being lazy when I was a kid, but being poor is just so damned inconvenient. :)
