I think that is the "catch" the vast majority of EV buyers don't know, or think about. Politicians are not going to allow road tax revenue to drop, so they will come up with all sorts of imaginative ways to recoup any loses. I do see the point of those taxes, but some people are going to be...
I got in on Oct. 3, '20 as I didn't want mine until 2022. Yeah, that's funny now. I was advised by my dealer that I would be lucky if mine was a '24 model (I wouldn't drop some of the sinful options). I finally gave up, and dropped out in June this year.
And this Lightning rollout isn't going any better than Fords rollout of the Bronco and Maverick. There are still day 2 (07/2020) Bronco reservation holders that don't have a VIN.
Maybe they can be recycled at all of the EV battery recycling centers we have around the country.
See what I did there Rick? :)
BTW, since we're on one of "those discussions". What oil should I run in my Ranger, do I need a catch can, and what gas is best. I won't go into the need of a...
I don't think a lot of those buying the Lightening has thought it through to a logical conclusion. At best this truck would be good for a weekend warrior run to Lowes for some pine needles to spread around their bushes. For real work it just isn't ready for prime time.
11....11 you say. You must have gotten the hybrid model. Mine wouldn't do 10 if I drove it off a cliff. Oh wait, I think maybe it was that I loved that supercharger whine a little to much. :)
Nailed it Rick. When one President started NAFTA I though this can't be good. And it wasn't. When another President started CAFTA I thought, this ain't gonna be good. And it was worse. This once great Nation is now a service industry, and sadly we have to depend on countries that hate us to...
Welcome Frank. Even waiting a year it's hard to say what model year/generation it will be. Things are in such a mess right now it's a roll of the dice.
Daniel, it's amazing how something that simple can be so important. I'm one of those that married my childhood sweetheart. Due to college expenses we didn't get married right away (long story). We were together 6 years before we could afford to get married, and of course it wasn't easy starting...
Now Rick, virtue signaling is much more important than the amount of miles an EV will go. And of course in true Government style they must get the cart before the horse.
This is episode 4 of The Fast Lanes test from Colorado to Prudho Bay, AK. in the Lightning. It basically shows that EV's, and...
It wasn't until Farley, and Ford started having problems with their special baby the Lightning did he get serious. Bronco order holders were getting the high hard one when they went to pick up their Broncos, and Farley/Fords response was "Dealers are independent, and we have no control over the...
That's the way to go first for sure Chris. I had in my mind that the way Ford has been going the last couple years they had just up, and discontinued the hood bumpers for the '22's. It wouldn't surprise me at all......:)
Miss Tracy, richness of life beats richness from money. And from what we know of you, your life is full of richness. And, you are so right. Being debt free is a wonderfull feeling. It's not easy to get there as it takes a lot of work, and ton of doing without sometimes. But, it's worth all of...
I have a friend like that. Just enough is good enough for him, and he'll never have anything but debt the rest of his life. Oh well, to each his own. I thought about being lazy when I was a kid, but being poor is just so damned inconvenient. :)
