  1. Best Bike Rack for Ranger

Lots of riders in these parts love the 1UP racks. They look tough with their all metal construction and sit close to the vehicle when folded up.
  2. Best Bike Rack for Ranger

I used a tailgate pad while my shell was on order. I liked the pad a lot, but I needed the security of a shell so I can lock up my bike while I’m working when I’m riding after I’m off. I typically head straight to the trails after work a few days a week. I’ve got a ratchet bar that pins down a...
  3. Other hobbies and interests?

Just scrimshawed a Model A on a bone handled knife to give to my father in law along with his other Xmas gifts. He’s got a beautiful ā€˜31 sitting in his garage and he was nice enough to let me take it for a spin on thanksgiving.
  4. Where ya from?

    Welcome!
  5. Bug/Rock Deflector

We use this 3M VHB tape at work all the time. It’s more than strong enough for this application...as long as the area it’s being stuck to is super clean. It can be released with lighter fluid if I decide to remove it later on
  6. Bug/Rock Deflector

Only uses the double sided tape. I’m going to lay down some clear bra film so the high-bond tape isn’t stuck directly to the paint. Already installed a clear bra on the entire front end except for the hood.
  7. Wax/Paint Protection

I finally applied the Armor Shield IX to my truck during thanksgiving weekend. I applied 2 coats to the paint, glass and wheels and let it cure in the garage for a few days before driving in the rain. It was actually really easy to apply considering the truck didn’t need much paint correction...
  8. Bug/Rock Deflector

Just got the WeatherTech deflector today. This is the low profile version that doesn’t have a raised bit to send junk over my roof...this will only protect the front edge of the hood. I applied a ceramic coating to my truck recently, so I’m gonna wait a while before installing it
  9. Ceramic Coating Done on our Shop Lady

Applied my ceramic coat yesterday...turned out great! It was way easier to work with than I’d expected and the truck is super reflective now. It’s sitting in the garage to cure today, except for the photo shoot with my father in law’s toy
  10. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

Parked next to my father in law’s ā€˜31 Model A, 4 door slant window:thumbsup:
  11. Ceramic Coating Done on our Shop Lady

Thanks...definitely excited to get it done. I’ve already used a clay mitt as well as an iron remover on it, so I’ll give it a nice wash using a soap that doesn’t contain conditioners of any sort. Since the truck’s only a couple of months old and the paint’s in great shape, I’ll just do a light...
  12. Ceramic Coating Done on our Shop Lady

Your shop truck does look great! I’m also curious about which product you used. I’m actually planning to do a ceramic coating on Friday. I’ll be using Armor Shield IX and I’ll post photos when I’m done. I’ve had the coating in my garage for about a month now, so I’m anxious to use it. So far...
  13. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

Nice...Gotta post pics when you get her setup
  14. Bug/Rock Deflector

I ordered the WeatherTech Low Profile deflector last night. Haven’t seen one in person, but it looks nice in pics. I think it looks best on darker colored vehicles, so it should blend in well on my Magnetic Ranger. It gets installed with double sided tape, so I’m planning to lay down some clear...
  15. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

I also use a hitch mounted rack for rides where I’m not planning to stop anywhere, but I’ve found that a couple of mtbs stood up with the front wheels removed and the forks mounted on a solid footing will fit diagonally in the bed. I got the Leer 180 shell for the extra 4ā€ of height. That...
  16. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

Congrats on the sweet truck! Coming from my ā€˜01 Ranger with the 6’ bed, the shorter bed took some time for me to figure out as well. I’m using mine to cart mountain bikes around instead of skis though. I too couldn’t be happier with my FX4! I decided to get a shell on it and I figured out how...
  17. Car cover for a S/Cab

https://www.carcovers.com/covers/truck/ford/ranger/2019/supercrew-short-bed-5-ft.html I ordered this cover. It fits great, but definitely easier to put on with an extra set of hands. I ordered the cover, then decided to get a shell installed, so I gotta pass this cover off to a midsized truck...
  18. Wax/Paint Protection

Truck looks great! I doubt that these spray on ceramics will last as long as they claim, but the one that I used was so easy, I’ll likely do it as often as I’d wax. I’m gonna use Armor Shield pretty soon, but I plan to use a ceramic spray on top every month or so as upkeep
  19. HELP Clear Coat over FX4 Decal

Obviously you’ll be cutting through the clear too, but again I’d hold the blade damn near flat against the body so you’re not damaging the clear under the decal. Good luck!
  20. HELP Clear Coat over FX4 Decal

So the side with the clear over the decal was repaired? Sounds like the body shop sprayed clear over the decal instead of removing and replacing over the new clear coat. I work for a sign company and we’d use a heat gun to make it easier to remove the decal and lighter fluid will remove any...
