Insane it is. I got that quote from a dealer. I also talked to a Ford tech that actually does the installations. He said that is the cost.

Michael, I have a Kicker 8 inch powered subwoofer between the back seats. Fits perfect. If I remember correctly, the opening between the seat backs is more narrow.
Well Joe, I am right in the middle of installing an amp and speakers. Replaced the speakers, front and rear without trouble (nice improvement). First door takes a while, but the second door goes a lot faster.
