I've not mounted them on my truck yet, but I've been a fan of Rigids. (as you will note, I've even mounted two sets on the RT). I found them to be better value for the $ them most lights out there.
Today's work.
Hardwired in the Yi Dashcam and added my first window decal...those who know know.
Replaced the 12 v outlet to USB outlet and install the Auxbeam 6 Gang. I still am waiting for my grommet tool before I can install the rest of the Auxbeam. I tried for over an hour to thread it...
Weather was finally good enough to install the rear lettering.
My next trick is to install my AUXBEAM 6 Switch Gang. I plan to use the driver's side grommet, but I can't see where it comes out in the engine bay in my FX4. Anyone know if I've got to remove the rubber protector to get there? Oh...
That is a very nice set up. My step are not Ford but Westin Traxx 5. They come with a plastic over over the bracket, so that is where I'd drill a whole. My question is what power did you tap?
Kris
Today's install..and the last of day of nice weather for a bit:
Alla Fogs
EcoBeast tag--mostly to see if anyone will notice...lol
Left in the garage. Tailgate decals, bed lights, Bumper lights, and dashcam wiring harness. (yet to arrive, Auxbeam 6 gang)
The nice weather continues:
Today's mission was to install the Bushwackers and tighten up the Westin Traxx 5s.
I also put in the LED plate, 3rd brake and cargo lights.
I've got the decals and the mudflaps in the garage if we have a couple more nice days.
Checklist completed this week:
Raptor lights in (I like old school three)
Bugflector installed (AVS logo already blew off?)
Westin Traxx 5 Installed (they are beefy!)
If the weather is good tomorrow---Mud Flaps or Rockguard!
Bugflector and Raptor lights when on tonight.
If the weather is as good as they say on Wednesday (11 C), I'll wash it and the the Traxxx 5 Ovals on it and maybe the mud flaps!
Out for a drive tonight.
Winter gas and all. XLT 302A FX4 with Winterforce snow tires---9.4 l/100km. The momentary best 9.2.
Having my experience with the Nissan Frontier...whose absolute best was 13.5...I'll take it!
PS: added Raptor lights and my Bugflector tonight. I hope it gets...
Good morning:
Thanks for the reply....so far crickets!
I'm aim at a pavement princess--to be more exact snow, fire roads and farmers fields. That is why I was think this low key. Every other bar seems to interfere with the sensors.
Thanks again.
Kris
Good evening all:
I thought I had done this, but apparently not. 2020 Lightening Blue Crewcab 302A FX4
Ontario, and I've had the truck since the very end of December. I've got about 1900 KM on it now.
Still waiting for the weather to get warm enough for the farkles. Currently in the garage...
Good evening all:
I was wondering if anyone has tried to fit one of these on a NA Ranger? I'm thinking about not trying to build a Raptor, and I thought maybe Wildtrak? Also this looks like it won't interfere with the parking sensors, which would be nice!
Take care!
Kris
