You won't be able to get to the hvac motor. The date range is based on your vehicle build date. You should be able to find that on a sticker around your driver door. Date ranges are from Aug1-Sept27 2019.
If you plan on taking your vehicle to Ford for every service, it may be a better deal than purchasing each individual oil change. However basic service is pretty simple to do on these trucks yourself. You can probably also go to a jiffy lube or another oil change place for cheaper than ford.
These trucks are sent with that high of pressure for shipping purposes. The dealer is supposed to set the pressure before you take delivery of the vehicle. Set pressure according to the sticker on the door.
Is anyone having an issue with the clock wanting to be 1 hour earlier? I've gone through the menu's and I don't see anywhere to turn off the GPS time reset or anything else that would cause this. I'll manually adjust the time to be correct but a day or two later it will reset to an hour earlier...
I went to a drive through car wash, went home and clay bar'd, then applied "Nasiol ZR53" ceramic coat ($70 on amazon). I work at a chemical plant that pits paint and windows pretty bad and go to a car wash daily. After several months (~20 car washes per month), its still holding up perfectly. In...
Modern vehicles have tons of sensors that will alarm if they sense anything they don't think is normal. Be glad it caught what wasn't normal this early so that it can be fixed, or the faulty sensor can be fixed, while under warranty and before it caused catastrophic damage. I'm very interested...
To your first question, yes, the lariat is a little quieter because of an engine cover. You can buy the Lariat's engine cover for the XLT though. I notice the engine on my XLT is loud when its still warming up. After the truck is warm, it is much quieter than my F150 was.
No one is going to...
It's only three screws to get to the oil filter. It takes longer to get to the drain plug. Anything to relocate the filter is just one more thing that can fail. If it's that inconvenient, you can always trim the shroud thats blocking it.
Its not an accident, its a vehicle malfunction (due to improperly overloading the vehicle). He may have been able to go through insurance and claim he hit a big hole but now that there has been an investigation concluding he was hauling more than allowed, he doesn't stand much of a chance of an...
Tongue weight is what bent the frame, not just trailer weight. Tongue weight should be roughly 10% of the weight of the trailer. If he loaded the majority of his trailer in front of the axle, it would put a lot more stress than a 2000 lb trailer should.
I haven't seen anything posted yet about lift kits, only leveling kits. Rough Country came out with the first one I've seen. Does anyone plan on going higher with their ranger? What are your opinions on how their example truck looks...
I've had it happen maybe once every 2 or 3 weeks. It seems to happen when plugging in my phone. The phone will keep switching from charging to not charging and the touchscreen will freeze. Just hold the power and skip forward button for a few seconds and the system will reboot.
I'd recommend going with the Curt hitch. Much easier to install, higher tongue rating, and about 1/3 of the cost. Aside from that, you just need the 7 pin connector and rear bumper wiring harness. Everything else in the truck is identical to one with the tow package.
I do and I installed it last night. It took about 20 minutes. A second set of hands would have helped but I was able to do it alone. Just need a 24mm socket, an impact/long ratchet, and two C-clamps or vice grips. I ordered from AutoAccessoriesGarage.com. Ordered April 2nd, arrived April 8th.
I just got mine in yesterday and it seems to have a very thick powder coating on it. I can't imagine it rusting anytime soon. It also had higher stats than any other hitch I've seen, including OEM. It also comes with a lifetime warranty. And its less than 30% of OEM. Seems like the best option...
