Are your grille lights held onto the grille with only epoxy? the epoxy is between the aluminum and the grille?

Installed a Putco Lightbar under the tailgate. I attached the pinout diagrams for your use. The turns, reverse, hazards and brake work as advertised, no trailer detection warnings it syncs perfectly with the other lights. The only "issue" ( for some) I ran into was the running lights, they look...

I removed the two plastic caps on the tailgate ends toward the bottom corners, removed the camera harness, wondering if anyone has removed the tailgate entirely, I was a little frustrated, please chime in if you've successfully taking the tailgate off and reinstalled.
