They will be inspected and fixed prior to shipping. I have no idea how long it takes to get 4000 or 5000 trucks shipped after OKTB is reached. The logistics of all this makes my brain hurt.

(defined as 5 days production without errors) Those in the plant think due to the slow ramp-up it may not happen for 4 or 5 weeks after job 1. Then the big question is....will they ship the retail orders first or...

They will not ship until ok to buy...about the first week of Jan.

The build date was on his weekly printout. You have a vin so the dealer does have a build week on his sheet.

I do not think VIN is necessarily and indicator of when it will be build. On the print out my dealer has his stock order has a vin of 5444 build week 12/31, mine is the week after with a vin of 3988.

Got word from my Salemans\neighbor this morning that my Ranger has been scheduled for the week of jan. 7th. Normally ford will not schedule retail orders until ok-to-buy has been reached. No word on a VIN yet but I did ask him. Looks like Ford is very confident OKTB will be reached by Jan. :) I...

I voted 4 out of of 5, depending on the day, I have 3 trailers depending on what I am moving, pavement queen during parades, car when I need it. :)

At the top of the order form it will say either Stock or Retail.

I have start-stop on the fusion and just don't see what the big deal is. It works well on that.

custom ordered truck will not be seeing a vin number til after "ok to buy" has been achieved some time in January. what is nice about the program Ford is using for the ranger is the dealer does not have to have an allocation for a ranger to order a truck for a customer. :)

For the most part the truck has a rather advanced electronic traction control system that with the exception of some extreme off road conditions should be more than adequate.

No worries, it wouldn't be there by mid-january if you had it delivered by air. ;)

Maybe your ranger will, but mine will have LED headlamps. :)

Ford is on a payed break that week. But I would assume then that your dealer ordered it as a stock unit to get it to you faster.
