I took my truck in again to the dealer and told them to check the DPFE solenoid because I saw on YouTube a guy who describes my symptoms exactly & suggest it be replaced. Guess what? The dealer’s mechanic tested the DPFE solenoid and found it o be clogged and full of moisture. Got it...

I had the dealership change my fluid & filter at 40,000 so the warranty wasn’t an issue down the road. (Ford uses every reason under the sun to not cover issues) 12 QTs of fluid and filter w/labor was $350ish. They will update the trans software if needed.
The first week I owned my Ranger a woman in front of me stopped suddenly as I was moving to the right lane with my head turned to the right to look for oncoming traffic. My truck stopped on a dime by itself and the crash avoidance indicator lit up and gave off a loud beep.
