Wow that looks great if it's real. The badge underneath the front badge camo looks like it could be a Ford Oval.
But I dunno... when you zoom in on the images they look like they could renderings?
I have a feeling once its engine and MPG specs are released the Ranger's pricing will look even more attractive, especially when you compare what you're getting to its competition. Speaking of which when do you guys think we'll see the powertrain specs released??
Nice to have gotten that assurance from him at the time of your order. Hopefully he lives up to his word because getting $1600 discount at this point is pretty sweet!
I've always understood "preordering" to mean that you're ordering a vehicle before it's officially been released. And once a vehicle has launched into dealerships, at that point you're "ordering" when you submit a custom order. You should be able to change your order for a while. And if not...
Just not as useful? And when the draft configurator was posted last week with the regular cab model it was only $300 cheaper than the supercab so it probably would have had low take rates anyway. Most people would probably pay the $300 for extended cab.
The Lariat + Off Road Package and options already prices to $44k. No way the Ranger Raptor will start below that so we're looking at mid-40k to 50k for the Raptor I think.
Welcome to the site!
This is a great thing to hear. The F-150 really sets a standard in the pickup segment so if the Ranger can emulate its quality and construction then we should have a hit on our hands. The F series is so admired that GM engineers secretly took F-150 factory tours when GM was developing the new...
And 213 horsepowers on the turbo diesel is too low for a heavy vehicle in the U.S. with all our highways. It would be a dog on the highways when trying to pass.
Man that looks SO fun just chucking a pickup around like that. The driver and passenger don't even seem to be moving around too much for the speed and terrain they're on. Amazing suspension on these Raptors!
I know some hate this color because it reminds them of primer but I'm a fan. It's super popular on Audis and more manufacturers are offering this type of flat gray paint now.
The quick fact sheet on the 2019 Ranger says the available colors are: Shadow Black, Lightning Blue, Magnet, Hot Pepper Red, Saber, Ingot Silver, Oxford White and White Platinum.
Sounds like confirmation it wont be sold in the US at least initially. What a shame. I thought the Ranger was going to be global? just not the Raptor Ranger in their home country? Sounds backwards to me.
I think that's the sweet spot in terms of pricing. What's going to be interesting is to see what the upcoming Jeep Scrambler Pickup will be priced at. Will the Ranger have to compete with it on price or will the Jeep be priced at the higher end of the segment. Will there be enough midsize...
Wow now that's how you tease a Raptor... awesome intro! It's interesting it says coming 2018 and when they announced the Ranger was coming back to the US it said available 2019 I believe. Does this mean this is going to be export only (please no)... this is a RHD version in the video after all.
Since we haven't had the Ranger here in a few years it's not as easy to gauge what pricing might be when it returns. Any guesses?
I think they need to target high $20k range, with a range topping fully loaded model in lower-mid $30k max. It should be a hit in this price range.
I'm cautiously optimistic about the return of the Ranger. Hopefully Ford won't repeat mistakes of the past -- making a "smaller" that's too close to the full-sizers in size, price, and efficiency.
