You are correct on my drive EGR would be open up to 50 60% and then DPFE would read a negative pressure then a positive pressure and fluctuate back and forth with EGR open which it can't do that the sensor was bad.
Everyone else that has replaced the sensor and still having problems unless you...
Change the DPFE and the egr tube. The tubes going to the dpfe can get clogged so it is likely that if you changed the sensor an still have problems the issue is in the tube. Also when you remove the sensor tap it a few times on the table and check for water coming out.
I did my sensor and...
Stop throwing parts at it and let a real technician diag it. Like I said in my other posts unless you have a scan tool and know how to read it you are just guessing. You could have just a bad spark plug it could be transmission how much money do you want to spend guessing?
For this It has nothing to do with maintenance records. Only time that will come into play is for sludge and the tech doesn't care about your records. For this case with a seized plug I would code the failed part to the head not the plug. Warranty will likely cover a head over a plug.
So I literally just did my spark plugs last weekend and 2 & 3 were rusty. I blew out the plug wells and saw the rust blow out so I just had the engine warm and worked it by hand loose and didn't have an issue.
If they are frozen in the head and won't come out by hand warm engine penetrating...
Sorry folks those of you claiming it is warranty are flat wrong. A TSB does not imply warranty coverage only a recall does. At the bottom of the TSB "Warranty Policy and Extended Service Plan documentation determine Warranty and/or Extended Service Plan coverage unless stated otherwise in the...
For those who are replacing the just the DPFE and still having the issue you should replace the EGR tube as well as the hoses to the DPFE. Another thing to take into consideration is that this concern might be trans related, but like I said you need a scan tool that can read the data stream and...
Only way I know how to test the sensor is with a vacuum pump and monitor the pid. if it moves steady its not the sensor. In reality without connecting to a scan tool and monitoring pids you are just throwing darts in the dark. DPFE might be only part of the problem, it could be a...
Thought I would chime in on this thread as I was having the same issue with my ranger. Around the 7th/8th gear 35-45mph under light throttle just maintaining speed I would experience the bucking/jerking that everyone seems to have. I used a combination of forscan on my phone and FDRS and while...
Thanks. I have FDRS so no issues with that. Guess its a decision on if I want to deal with making the holes for the sensors or not. Imagine a decent step bit should make short work of it.
Looking at getting the ARB front bumper and I have a couple of questions for those that have them.
First question is winch compatibility. I have a 9k badlands winch will it fit?
Second is I have front parking sensors, I know it says its not compatible but I am wondering if the the BCM...
The default value was 2360 took a screen shot so I would have it. when I punched in the tire size to get the circumference I got 2520. If I put in a 265/65r17 the stock size I get 2439
