Completed my initial list of mods/add-ons for El Trucke today with the addition of the Line-X bed liner. Factory was gonna add time for the delivery so I deleted it before I got the VIN. The shop i went to did a great job, no over spray or clogged threads on open mounting points.
Should I wait a bit before I use the 303 protectant on the dash, etc? I've had the truck about a month, and the wife just got a new hyundai last week. Wasn't sure if they needed to off gas for a while before I start applying.
Finally put on the n-fab nerf bars on this evening, now El Trucke is looking more like a truck and the missus can scoot right on into the passenger seat much easier.
Drivers side went on easy peasy, but the passenger side was a slight pain. The mounting brackets were lining up a wee bit off...
Ive had my 2022 Ranger now for about three weeks, and I have to park it outside under a live oak and a magnolia tree. Lots of leaves, pollen, and whitewing dove poop. I wanna try and
start off right protecting iI with the good stuff from the get go. Some questions:
Somewhere on one of the...
i ordered mine last November with Granger in Iowa. They offer 3% off of the invoice price. Look up the threads in the Ordering and Pricing forum. I saved thousands off what the dealerships here had on the few models actually on the lot. They were priced several thousand above MSRP.
My Ranger is at the Granger dealership, was scheduled to pick it up Thursday but didn’t want to deal w all the icy weather on the way back home to Texas. Now I have to wait 2 weeks for a break at work, so frustrating, I have mods to make! :headbang:
When we Did family road-trips when I was a kid, we would stop at grocery stores along the way for food. Mom would buy a box of some cooked fried chicken in the frozen section, wrap it up it alum foil (minus the box), and stick it in the engine bay. Thirty minutes or so later we’d stop and have a...
I pick up my Ranger next week from the dealership (YAY!)
If I get a mushy brake feel on my test drive, would the reset be a reasonable/appropriate thing to ask them to perform before taking delivery? I saw someone mention a SBB (service bulletin?) but no number. Just wanting background on what...
El Trucke will be parked outside under the oak tree unfortunately. Half the garage is taken up w the wife’s pottery studio and i have to fit the rest of all of ”our” stuff on “my” side. Not fair!
But the studio is my secret way of keeping her occupied with something she enjoys while I go out...
I'm headed up to Granger soon to pick up my Ranger and love this list; thanks to all contributors. Unlike the OP I'll be doing this under the watchful dealer eyeballs, that should be fun!
For the items above in bold, what kind of +/- tolerances are acceptable? For instance, for the 'height on...
Here in my part of TX it’s gunna be rain and freezing rain. Have no fear, Governor Hotwheels has it under control, I’m sure the power grid is better now. My wife is a teacher and classes are closed tomorrow and Friday. ?
No one has mentioned it yet, but if you don’t do an order from Granger, look into getting into an X-plan purchase. Several threads on details in the ordering and lease forum.
I did Granger on my Ranger, that 3% below invoice is tough to beat, especially in the current market.
