I'm not worried about it. The factory engine alone has plenty of power and I'm waiting for Mountune to finish developing their tune. Would I have liked the wheels to be lighter? Sure! Am I crying that they aren't? Nope. Will I be happy with the looks and offroad performance when I mount them...
You probably can't tell but the wheels/tires are not bolted to the truck. I just butted my new wheel up against my factory wheels which are on the truck. And there will be plenty of room for articulation. Plenty of folks running 285/70/17s with no lift in the rear.
I have my factory sidesteps for sale. These are the factory steps that came on my 2019 Ranger XLT FX4. Asking $200 obo. I am getting rocksliders and do not need these. Great condition. Not banged up. Truck had not been off-roaded (yet). Local pick up preferred.
Also waiting for Mountune to finish developing their Ranger tune. These guys really know what they're doing and can't wait to see what their results are for the Ranger. Last I was told, they were planning a complete tear down of the engine to see what materials the engine is made of before they...
Starting a thread on my build. I bought my Ranger last year and so far she has Icon coilovers set at the out of the box height of 2". I have Icon UCAs arriving tomorrow which once installed, I'll raise her up another 1" for a total of 3" up front. The rear will remain at stock height with Icon...
Alright fellas,
I emailed RTR and asked for the weight and they replied with 29lbs. I had the " P Metric" Nitto Ridge Grapplers (285/70/17) installed today and when I got home and finally had access to a scale; I weighed the mounted tire/wheel. On my bathroom scale (best I could do); the...
That's why I said a "ballpark" figure. The box and styrophome can't weigh more than a few lbs. Anyways... 25.5 lbs sounds awesome! I was looking at VTX wheels to try and save weight but didn't really like their designs. Glad these are relatively light. Thanks for the update on the weight.
Anyone notice the spec sheet says 285/70/17 Ridge Grapplers however the photos show 285/75/17 Ridge Grapplers? That equates to 33.86" H x 11.26" W tire.....
I understand that the aftermarket front bumper eliminates the front crash bar problem and I can't exactly tell, but it doesn't look to...
I'll do my best and try to get access to a scale to weigh them. I'll at the VERY LEAST get you a shipping weight of an individual box for a ballpark figure.
Do you mean 285/70/17 tires? Also, did you leave the Icons at their out of the box setting which I believe is 2 inches? Or did you go higher? I have the Icon's installed (out of box setting) with factory UCAs. Thinking about bumping them up another 1/2" to around 2.5" and keep factory UCAs. What...
Would anyone happen to know if I could run 34" tires on 17x9 +0 offset wheels? I have the BDS intrusion beams already. Just need to cut the original crash bars and install BDS beams. Also wouldn't even mind ditching the beams all together.
Their SEMA build has the 285/70/17 with an aftermarket front bumper. I will be going with the factory bumper route with BDS slim crash bars. I also ordered the RTR Ranger fender flares. Anyhow, here's a link to the version wearing the 285 tires...
