I spent months looking at wheel/tire combinations for my 2020 FX4 and had a very specific list of "wants" based on my other truck builds.
I wanted a slightly taller tire than stock but also did not want to cut, chop or delete anything installed from the factory. (i.e crash bars, fenders, etc.)...
Is it possible to have a plain old-school metal key cut to open the doors that I can put in my wetsuit when surfing. It doesn't need to start the truck, just get me in. I would leave the key FOB inside. Would also like to put a copy of said key under the chassis for same intent when I am in...
Rick, the vents are one-way and only open out. It is my understanding that the need/function is to allow air to escape when doors are closed and in the event of airbag deployment. I agree that most of my road noise does indeed come from that location. I am in the process of adding some sound...
I did consider that but the platform I am designing will have it's own retention strap system utilizing the old seat back retention loops in the rear and L-track on the front edge. I have found that the seat belts and buckles bounce around and slam into plastic walls on washboard roads and it...
Thank for the tips Jake. I worked on it a bit today before the rain started but was not successful in getting the lower panel to release. I'll have another go tomorrow. Did you actually remove the door seal or just work behind it?
I've deleted the rear seats in my SuperCab in order to construct a gear platform, therefore no need for the seatbelts. I ordered up the trim panel from the XL model to clean up the rear wall but having difficulty figuring out how to get access to the retractable seat belt mechanism. Searched...
I've got a 2020 Ranger with a surge at slow speed after start up. To me, it almost feels like the motor is starved for fuel for a quick second and then stutters for just a moment before lurching forward. Is this similar to what you guys are experiencing? The TSB only covers 2019 models...
...so for clarity, if I intend to replace my factory FX4 Magnetics with an aftermarket rim and like the look (width or poke) of the factory 55mm offset rim with a 1" spacer I should obtain that same width/poke (look) with a 30mm offset rim. Correct?
55mm - 1" (25.4mm) = 29.6
Wanted to give a personal experience viewpoint with removal of the rear seats on my 2020 SuperCab as I just deleted them on my truck today.
I found the prior thread removal descriptions helpful but I also disagree with one of those suggested steps and hope to save the next person some...
Still recording great MPG...27.8 average this week as well. I hope this stays consistent.
Crazy quick processing and delivery on my ignition ring bezel. Also, first of many mods.
Thanks for a quality and affordable product Dean.
I'm not sure what contributed to the MPG. I was trying to vary the RPM's for break in so I was all over the tach, 1500-2300. Hopefully, this is a prelude to what I will see in the future.
Flew out to SLC yesterday to pick up my new Ranger, A 2020 Oxford XLT SuperCab, 4x4 FX4. 702 miles later and back in California today. Immediately did a post road trip detail and went to work de-badging all the decals. Looking forward to building a mildly modded rig for baja.
Geeking out on...
Flew out to SLC yesterday to pick up my new Ranger, 702 miles later and back home in California today. I was baffled by the lack of detail on the ignition bezel from the factory. Searched a solution, saw this post and ordered immediately. This is the first of many additions to come.
Thanks Dean...
New to the Forum and just read through this ENTIRE thread...The configuration I am considering is a set of the Fifteen52 Analogs in the 16 x 7.5" / BS 4.25" / 0 Offset size. Mounted to a set of General Grabber ATX 235/85/16's. Will also be adding an ICON Stage II kit adjusted to 2.5 (level) in...
