The air fuel ratio will be automatically controlled by the pcm. The PCM will ad fuel and air til it either reaches the top of the timing table. Or until the knock sensors tell it to start pulling timing because it senses detonation. The air fuel ratio shouldn't change because you added another...
You answered your own question. The pcm will add timing til knock is detected. once knock is detected it starts pulling timing. With the higher octane of the ethanol. And the chemical cooling of the ethanol. The knock threshold will be higher to begin with.
.So you cant name a single problem? Got ya. Watch the video I posted. They couldn't find a problem with it either. When using ethanol blended fuel. I simply gave you another option to 87 or 93 octane with my first reply. And gave my reasoning behind the recommendation. I also explained the...

Your changing the subject. We aren't discussing the availability of e85. We are discussing the potential down side of adding a gallon to 87 octane. You yourself said there is already 15% ethanol in gasoline. So whats the harm in adding e85 to 87 octane? To bump octane up. You guys are talking...
I completely understand direct injection. Now does ethanol some how work differently in the cylinder of a direct injection engine? Than it would in a port injection or a carburated application? Its still going to chemically cool the cylinder tempature correct? And blending it will obviously...
1. What part of you don't need to be tuned for it dont you understand? Do you have to tune for water/meth injection? Go look it up I'll wait. And 2. Have you data logged your truck to see what duty cycle your injectors are running at is? Of course you haven't! Your assuming the pump isn't big...
What do you mean it has no way of adjusting timing??? The pcm constantly adjusts timing. Based on what the on board sensors tell it to do. You do understand that's how it tells the difference between 93 and 87 octane fuel right? If the truck doesn't pull timing when it senses knock. We are all...
LOL ok explain the problem its going to cause? Like I said in my first post this will piss off the owner manual nazis! I dont care where the fuel is injected the science is the same. Port injection, dirrect injection. I mean you have guys talking about needing a carburetor for christ sakes...
I think the mileage has a lot to do with driving style. I notice some guys say they have lost quite a bit of MPG. I have dropped from 22 to around 20 with a 33.2 inch tall tire. But I usually drive like I have miss daisy in the back for my daily commute.
Here’s how you mix your own potions. You buy a 5 dollar methnol test kit. Here’s a link. I doubt you’ve ever seen one before in real life. I used this all the time on my 800whp Mustang!

YouTube will explain how the Ethanol test kit works. And...
What are you talking about??? The fuel doesn’t mix with the air in the intake???? How does flex fuel vehicles work? Magic? Of course the fuel will mix with the air in the intake. It’s called atomization. That’s what the fuel injectors do. They atomize fuel so that you get a proper fuel/air...
I’ll muddy things up even more. And will surely piss off the follow the owner manual Nazi’s. But I run 87 and add a few gallons of e85 to the mix. The E has a chemical cooling effect. Which will drop your Intake air temperature. Reducing knock. And e85 is ruffly 100 octane. The truck runs...
Haha I definitely agree with this. I can’t imagine ever really needing a snorkel. And most of the guys that I work with that have them admit. It’s basically for off road cred more than oh shit I plan to run thru 4 feet of water.
I did the rough country lift. And I think you could do better. The lift comes with studs that need to be pressed in for lack of a better word. I recommend finding a kit with the studs already installed. The time you save will be worth an extra 50-100 bucks you spend. Also be very careful with...
Well I have 275/70r18s On a 2.5 inch level and they rubbed When the truck was in reverse. All good after installing after market crash bars. (What a pain in the ass that was). They also sat very close to the knuckle. Close enough that it made me uncomfortable and I added a 1 inch spacer. So just...
