When mounting the dash mount favor away from the windshield. The plastic dash support hits the screws if you push it towards windshield. Lesson learned.
Here’s what I did. Built rite mount with ram ball, arm and motorcycle phone mount. Solid stable and phone doesnt move. Everything except the built rite ford ranger mount was purchased on amazon. Wasn’t cheap to do but its bulletproof.
I had 78 thunderbird. Once about 150 miles from home, the rust holding the coffee can looking vac canister together decided to stop holding hands. Nothing worked. Luckily I passed a junkyard a few miles prior and a little walk got me a vac canister off a mercury cougar. Thats why I carry tools...
Last truck I had they put golf tees in the threaded holes before spraying. Not sure what liner im doing. Bullet liner place is at other end of state but scheduling a nightmare. Linex I have to go to New Hampshire and they are pricey. Theres a couple off brand places but I don’t want to be a...
I bought one of the flip out tool boxes with my ford pass points. I plan on keeping my oil change stuff, a small wrench roll and a socket kit. Jumper cables and a couple of endless slings and shackles along with my trailer hitch. If there is room I would like to also put a bottle jack in it...
My dad had a ranchero when I was a kid in the 70’s. Good memories of a trailer full of dirtbikes and my bicycle in the back. Id sit in the middle and watch the dust fly up down the backroads. If they made them again I would definitely take a look.
I run 91 for the main reason it doesn’t have ethanol in it where I am at. I still think the ethanol isn’t a great thing for engines. I may be wrong but it makes me sleep better at night.
My neighbor’s family runs the Ford dealership where I have bought several vehicles. As long as I have him schedule it far enough out I always get a vehicle. When I had my focus he would always bring me a truck. Wife came home and there was a brand spankin new f150 platinum with the plastic on...
Im still waking up at night because of pulling a dash on my 78 thunderbird in the early 90’s to replace the heater core. Ended up cutting hole in firewall to do it. Id torch a vehicle before id ever try and pull a dash again.
I may or may not have used a piece of 1/4” tubing taped to a shop vac hose to retrieve a small dropped non magnetic part from inside a valve in a refinery. Just snake tube into vent turn on vac and fish around. Then pull it out.
The problem more likely than not is your iphone. There was a new iphone update and couldnt charge phones in either vehicle for half a day and then it started working. It usually takes a couple days and a SYNC update after an ios update to get the bugs worked out. For some reason some vehicles...
If its anything like SYNC3. It needs an update. My wifes escape seems to need one every couple weeks. Alot of the problems with SYNC seem to be phone related. If you have done a update on your phone Ford seems to be slow getting up to speed. I wish I could be more help or tell you its going to...
When I did the initial detail of my truck I ceramic coated the engine cover and then after curing put p&s beadmaker on it. Did all plastic in engine bay this way and sprayed the under hood insulation with just beadmaker. I use a garden hose and simply hose off and foam gun the engine bay. Use a...
