Add me to the list those who have fixed their bucking issue.
First off, thanks to a fellow poster on this site who had a spare EGR valve and sold it and shipped it to me. Nice to know there are folks around that still help others out. I sincerely appreciate his efforts as it took time from...
Those who have replaced it that I have read did so under the 2 year/24K mile warranty. Outside of that, they did so on their own.
However, who knows. For $25 Im not bringing it to the dealer to be a warranty item. But that's just me\

Anyone know where this part may be in stock. CAlled several dealers and the ones that have one in stock have it on hold for a customer. Online parts place show they have it and then after placing the order i get an email 5 minutes later saying this part is on a National Backorder with no...
Maybe you should read exactly what I wrote. Here it is:
For anyone interested, the link RangerBill provided discusses this issue in great lengths. Here is another person who experienced exactly what my truck is doing. He replaced the EGR valve as most others in this 18 page thread and it fixed...
When I was speaking with the service Manager, he pulled up a screen showing a bunch of data he said we’re the fault codes. It was a full page. Before I could get a look, he switched screens. Not saying he did so intentionally. If I go back down there, I will ask to see the diagnostics. If they...
Part ordered through Varsity Ford and paid a little more to get it by this weekend. Will learn soon.
Is it really possible that the diagnostic machine spot out all kinds of fault codes that lead the dealership to believe the torque converter needed to be replaced and other work done. This is...
Yep. My question was if the fault codes the machine kicked out was date stamped. If so, it would show that the truck was having issues before I was 200 miles over the warranty. I was in the middle of nowhere over 400 miles away when the issue got much worse. I called as soon as I got home to...
I don’t think I said my truck was fixed. I was sharing a story of one individual whose truck was fixed.
And nope, no undercoating. Do I dare ask what the issue is with undercoating
Well mine isn’t fixed yet. Called local places for the part and no one has it. In the link provided by RangerBill, there was a link to a dealership called Varsity Ford. Just orders the part. $21 for the part and I spent extra to get it here quickly ($18 shipping). I’ll either have the new part...

"Ok, swinging in for another detailed data...
I have been having this exact same issue for sometime. Called the dealer when I had 60,200 miles on the Ranger. Was told out of warranty so it will cost me.
Brought it in yesterday and was told it is my torque converter and some other part about cleaning valves when they are in there. They said...
thank you for the link. I would say the problem I am having has been described exactly in the thread cited. It appears that everyone thought the same thing as me, transmission or torque converter problems. From what I have read in the thread, people replaced the EGR valve and the low speed...
They hoo
they hooked up the vehicle to their diagnostics machine and it threw all sorts of codes indicating the issue is the torque converter and that while replacing this the would clean valves or something or another.
could their machine be incorrect or could they be interpreting the...
Thank you. My intent was to purchase the Gen 6 when it becomes available. At one time, that truck was expected to be introduced this year. It has been delayed. Never had an extended warranty (except on a boat) nor had the need for one until now.
I didn't drag my feet. I was in the middle of nowhere. I called as soon as I could. I was over the miles by 200 or so.
Yes, I could have done better maybe. Yes, some of this is on me. If there is nothing you can contribute to how to approach Ford with this issue, I sure don't need to be...
Please don't take my comments as ungrateful. I had thought I had a drivetrain warranty for either 75,000 miles or 100,000 miles. (other vehicles have this, Ford doesn't) The dealer I bought the truck from offers an unlimited drivetrain warranty. /i thought I was covered. Yes, my mistake but...
