The Ex had an MB from a dealer up north from us. Had the dealer license plate frame. Went to the shop locally and they replaced with theirs. She raised holy hell with them for swapping it.
I keep three cam straps deployed between hooks. Two along sides and one side to side creating that barrier you made. Nothing worse than a pile of straps you have to untangle.
Why not enjoy the seats now then replace the offending seat cover years from now when/if they fall apart? Sure, I get dropping in a seat cover when you are gonna be putting them to the test with some wet/dirty situations but to cover up a nice seat for years seems like a waste.

The less cabin light the better. Sufficiently back lit controls with the ability to turn down intensity is what I want. I know where the cup holders, door handles and footwell is....don't need a light to find it in the dark. Now, finding the tiny temp selector, thats a different matter.
Update: one side board had two rust spots on top in welds. ADD’s solution was a can of spray paint they supplied. They said to hit the spots with sand paper and spray. So I figure sure I’ll give it a shot not really figuring out how I’d attack the rust deep in a corner. When I went to prep...
Ok, I’ll admit it, I read every post in
this thread and understood nothing. My local stereo shop built me a sub box and put it behind the right rear seat. Probably paid too much but it sounds good.
