Yeah, compared to Honda or Subaru, even within the same dealer company, Ford is one of the worst customer service experiences.
Seems to be a prevailing mindset throughout the company as a whole, everyone from service, to parts, to sales can't be bothered to give a shit.
Figure 65lbs per slider, +5lbs for mounting hardware to be safe, so it should weigh about 135lbs not counting the crate weight.
I'm pretty sure you could handle it with 2 people.
Which means they only pay if you have comprehensive.
Liability doesn't cover any damage to your car, it only covers damage you cause to other people's cars.
Just picked one up on Black Friday for situations like this.
Both insurance companies will probably claim no fault and unless you have comprehensive, neither will pay out. In my experience, unless the police come to the site of the accident and they determine fault, or you have dash cam...
Be careful not to let your insurance lapse in the meantime. If you have any gap in coverage, they jack up your rates for 6 months because you're "unreliable."
Insurance is the biggest scam there is.
Bit bummed, I haven't heard anything other than the automatic "order processed" email.
Guess mine was one of those they had to fabricate.
Emailed to check in to make sure everything was in order. I'm totally fine waiting a bit, just wish they would mention if its going to take longer.
The salesman explained it to me as "the starters are extra-heavy duty and gel insulated." Which doesn't mean shit to me, but I also don't know shit about starter engineering so....
I trust Ford to think it through enough to design the starters to be more robust.
Hi Benny,
Could you PM me your price on the FX4 skidplates? Same ones the other guy was looking for.
I also need 4 of Ford Parts #W715014, but $10/ea seems a bit much for a floor mat clip, do multiples come in a package?
Random question: Since you guys are a Ford Dealer can you apply FordPass...
Picked up some Jorgensen clamps on a good deal at Lowes
an electronic deadbolt
rexing dash cam
husky liners for the Ranger
shrockworks sliders for the Ranger.
Thanks man! Found them on amazon, just used the outlines and left the infill on the letters on the paper. Also took off the "O F F R O A D" underneath it. I like it so far, been thinking of maybe replacing them with black since I've blacked out everything else.
My truck came with 16" Bridgestone Dueler H/T.
Probably the worst tire I've ever had on any car, lasted all of 1200 miles before I replaced them.
The ones you guys have on look MUCH more robust, and would think those would handle better.
Didn't like the stock tires, they broke loose with the slightest moisture and incline. Really trash tires.
Painted the steelies and got new tires sized to match the 17" stock size. Definitely like the look better.
Don't feel like going out in the 20 degree weather to take a picture of the door sticker.
But FordPass says 30 psi. Pretty sure the manual and sticker does too.
So no, not literally everywhere.
