I am approaching the 36k mark on my '23 Ranger. Is buying the extended warranty worth it even around dealer cost? I'm curious your decision point (yes/no) and how much you extended if you did?

Not only is this a Friday, but the last build date for 2023's. They will not only be be celebrating the end of a model year, but the end of 5g's that day. Party begins at 6:00 am. Just kidding. You will be fine. Also kind of cool that you might be the last 2023 (5g) off the line.

5/12 is the latest build date I have seen (I am 5/10). You may be one of the last ones produced. Anyone with a build date later than 5/12? This may be the very last day of production before they move over to 2024 MY.

My scheduled week also appeared on the thermometer exactly 8 days after the build week email. No window sticker also. I am scheduled week of May 10.

I'm in the same boat with no scheduled date on the thermometer. I'm starting to think the email build date is more of an estimate that will get pushed one way or another when it gets closer. I'm guessing the thermometer gets updated when it is close to the build date and not subject to change.

Sorry for the delay in responding. I am not seeing a date also. I am seeing the same thing as you. Any insights as to why that is the case?

I did get on Ford Chat. This was the response: "I see the status as In order processing and Unscheduled- Clean. There is no eta, vin or build date yet.. I understand that you are concerned that you don't have build date yet but it take times and also depends on what plant it going to be built...

Ford confirmed the order and has continued to reaffirm every 45 days.

Ordered 12/2 and confirmed by Ford 12/2 (XLT, FX4, Iconic, Tow Package). Since then, I have heard nothing from Ford other than the canned 45 day emails saying sorry for the wait. I am thinking of getting front and back seat covers for my upcoming 2023 Ranger. However, I am concerned they will interfere with the air bag deployment. Is this a thing? Should I be concerned with negating an important safety feature? Recommendations?

I'm not questioning the information, but never heard of a build being scheduled for production in 2 days from order date. Most on here have waited months to be scheduled for production. I wonder what is so different about this order.

That article lost a lot of credibility with me when they said: "Typically it takes about six weeks for a new truck to arrive through the ordering process..." 6 weeks? Yeah, right! They are about a decade behind the times.

It is apparent that Ford will be moving over to 2024 Ranger production on May 1, 2023. I would not be surprised to see the 2022 order bank shut off soon. I'm also wondering if all 2022 orders will be fulfilled and whether they will be offering incentives to switch to a 2024 for unfulfilled orders.

Given delays, I'm starting to wonder if some 2023 orders will be pushed to the 2024 model. When do they cut over the 2024 model production?
