  1. Where are all the woodworkers?!?

Not fancy woodworking but solved a problem I was having transporting 4x8 sheets in my 5x10 cargo trailer. Only have 45ā€ between the e-tracks. With this rig, I can easily slide and strap down 4x8 sheets on top, and lumber below. Or just secure smaller items in the frame. Two of us can lift it out...

  3. Avoid the 2019 Ford Ranger

I’ve had none of those problems in my 2019 Ranger. Love it and keeping it long term. Well, actually there was one problem, it didn’t have a damper. I fixed that right quick.

  7. How Apple AirTags are being used by criminals

Picked up a friend the other day to do a job. He had an air tag on his keys. I got a message on my iPhone from Apple saying an air tag not registered to me appeared to be travelling with me, along with a map showing the route we took.

  9. Any regrets buying an XLT over a Lariat???

Wish the mirrors on my 2019 XLT were heated, should be standard
  10. What is something you love, and something you dislike about the Ranger?

2019 XLT. Love the truck. Downside for me is the shape of the driver’s seat, hard on my back. Fixed with two small pillows. Prior Subaru and Cherokee seats were fine. Plan to keep the truck long time.
  11. Rustproofing?

Beware the atmosphere sensor on top of the fuel tank. It’s part of the emissions control system. I’ve had to get two replaced in my first two years. Dealer says it is due to undercoating. Known says they are not to spray above the tank for that reason. Couple of threads here about it. Part is...
  12. Identifying truck on home wifi network

To summarize: This thread isn't relevant to most users. All I had to do to get our Ranger onto our home wifi two years ago was sit in the truck with it running in the driveway, go to Settings/Wifi on the truck's screen, select our home wifi and enter the password. The truck connected no problem...
  13. Identifying truck on home wifi network

2019 Ranger. No problem connecting truck to home wifi from driveway. But not clear which device it is when looking at the router's information in the house using the wifi interface app on my phone. I identified it as "localhost" made by Texas Instruments by turning the wifi off and on in the...

  17. Rangers in SNOW

Thanks but I was wondering about turning. Best I can tell, avoid turning at all in 4H or 4L. Slight turns in 4H possible if wheels can slip. My truck doesn’t have rear locker, I imagine that would be better for making turns because driver can turn the unlocked front wheels, but even then the...
  18. Rangers in SNOW

What’s the procedure for using 4 wheel drive during turns in these Rangers? I’ve only being using it on straight aways.
  19. Ranger compared to Subaru in snow

I had a Forester before the Ranger. Far and away the best snow vehicle I have ever owned. Sure-footed was how it felt. All wheel drive worked in turns as well as straight away. My next vehicle was a Jeep Cherokee. Not nearly as good as the Forester in snow, but worked fine. The Ranger is snow...
