Thank you! Assuming that the rate of the spring is the same, that 1” alone lifts the front end close to 1.7”, then the preload can lift it more. How is the comfort of the eibachs compared to stock? Is it firmer?
Thank you! I was watching an explanation from Ironman where they claim their struts are exactly the same length and the lift is achieved solely by preload, thus the droop remains as from factory, which is total BS.
Thanks! Sure, with coilovers you change the preload, however, the question is a bit different. Is the strut exactly the same dimension as the oem one or longer?
For the guys who have swapped the front coilovers, do you happen to have a picture of a stock strut side by side to an aftermarket one (OME, Eibach, Fox, Icon, whatever). A reputable manufacturer claims that their lift suspension is exactly the same length as the stock one and the lift is...
Next time use plenty of soapy water and a heat gun. Go from inner out. I’ve wrapped my BMW kidney frames and the Ford emblems. The kidneys were a mission impossible yet they’ve turned out flawless.
Me too! They were around in my country but I definitely went into 4wd-ing by watching that show(and many others), then I’ve found this forum!
Great build Glocker!
Upper bar tacked in place.
These whiskers start to grow on me, their creator ?.
The parking sensors are happy too, fully...
If you have access to a pipe bender it could turn into something sweeter. The top bar at least. Mine is made from 50mm square tube, 3mm wall and the top bar is 40mm 3mm wall. If you are building it yourself be prepared for a lot of put it on, take it off, adjust, start over ?. If I can help with...
Happy new year from overseas! Here is midday 31st 2021 and I’ve having some modding fun after the shroxworks discussion above. I’ve raised the chinbar about 2”.
However I am looking for some brutal honest opinions. Should I just scrap it, keep it without the upper lip or keep going?
I like...
I still want to see that mounting brackets on that shrockworks. As I did myself the chinbar, it’s not easy to achieve a proper mount without serious cutting.
And I say this with all good intentions. Actually after seeing the post above I will be cutting it again to relocate it higher.
Badlands seems to be the winches from Harborfreight. https://www.harborfreight.com/automotive/winches.html
What you are looking for seems to be a sort of a which plate/bulbar combo. I would also be very curious to know how it mounts, as it sits low compared to the level of the frame/chassis...
Living in a NATO country and possibly soon neighbors with Russia :( … I thank you all serving as well. Not only that I appreciate also the respect you guys have for your fellow countrymen serving! I hope my words make sense, being in EU my words may sound poor or off :(.
A proper snow tire will outperform any AT/MT tyre regardless of the 3PMS snowflake rating, my AT Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus are decent in the snow, yet will not match the Nokians. I’ve driven the Nokians, hub deep on a long 30% incline, in 4H and sometimes in 4L while playing lounge music, no...
