  1. Ranger compared to Subaru in snow

8.7" is pretty much the Subaru standard, which is close to rangers 8.9" in 4wd and more than 2wd. Wilderness adds about an inch
  2. Ranger compared to Subaru in snow

Not much I can add, Subaru AWD, ground clearance, and handling are superb for wintery commutes, especially with snow tires. I have a 2014 Forester but no Ranger to compare it to... Yet.
  3. First snow removal with the Ranger

In all my years of living in winter wonderlands, I've never seen a butt-mounted snow plow.
  4. XLT vs Lariat - differences

I actually prefer the lariat cluster. More configurable for extra info. I ignore the XLT 302A, adds a bunch of lariat features without the best lariat perks for me lol. And I like oem more than the alphas, mishi, etc, anyway :P The halogens are unusable to me so they'd have to go. Really wish we...
  5. XLT vs Lariat - differences

The biggest difference to me is the led lighting in the lariat. It would cost at least a grand or so to do the headlights alone on the XLT... The gap between a 301A XLT and a base lariat is only a couple grand. To me, I don't want leather or the sliding rear window, but the lariat perks are...
  6. From Ecosport to Ranger

It's so non-competitive in every way in the segment, I just love to bag on it to be honest. Glad you upgraded :) Thx in advance
  7. From Ecosport to Ranger

Side marker pics? Also, how does one end up with an ecosport in this day and age? :O
  8. 27+ week delay on '22 Ranger with Ford Spray in bedliner

Love the Ford tramp stamp, but I'd give it up to get it faster
  9. 27+ week delay on '22 Ranger with Ford Spray in bedliner

I do want the bed liner :'( The '23 will almost be here by then lol.
  10. Ordering a 22' Ranger

Had nothing but great experiences with first model years, I wouldn't let that scare you if your timeline is flexible. (this is a particularly collaborative, vetted launch as well) 6G will bring ranger into the modern age with improvements across the board. If the timeline isn't flexible, the...
  11. Why are Full size trucks so damn expensive

I would love to scoop up a 2018 F-150 on a lease expiration.... But everyone is buying them out because of the bonkers used market.
  12. Why are Full size trucks so damn expensive

I dream of a no-dealer future where there are no trim levels, you just pick a model, piecemeal customize it, and get it delivered from the factory. Tired of options I want being locked behind trims I don't want and paying extra for the human element I also don't want. Led lighting and push...
  13. Prices are Insane

Maverick makes sense to me, the Cruz... Not so much. There is definitely a market for this class of trucklette.
  14. Prices are Insane

Hoping the Santa Cruz does well so Subaru can bring back the Baja and kick its butt
  15. Help Me Decide on Ranger over Taco / Colorado for Rear Locker on a Budget

Sounds like the ranger fits the bill - the only concern I'd voice is that the fuel tank is tiny and it may not have the range of the others if you're gonna live fairly remote. Would recommend checking out the Frontier Pro-4X, though.
  16. Indoor house temperature

Winter: 65 Summer: Off until humidity necessitates AC. Live in the woods in northern Michigan so winters are brutal but summers aren't too bad.
  17. How to keep a Bronco on the Lot

It's a small town dealer and I actually believe they're doing it mainly to keep one on the lot, as they've had as few as a single new car on the lot in recent memory. That said, it's still bonkers, lol.
  18. Removed FX4 Decals…Added WildTra

Congrats on getting the first Wildtrak Ranger in the states :) I'll be the second... In 22/23.
  19. Rear window glass shattered

Hope they won't blame it on a faulty tailgate damper. They'd better take care of it :)
