$350 is a great deal considering that the alignment is included.
i shopped around and got really upset about how much these thieves are charging for labor that i ended up doing it myself. really happy i did. no regrets.
2 hours and i was done. paid $100 for the alignment and $60 for installing...
it is done!!!very happy with the results.
first thing i noticed was the increase in torque. it definitely gets the truck going without effort. then, the shifting is more precise. the tranny does not hunt for gears any more. like many have said, this is the way these trucks should come from...
well, i just got a obd 2 cable replacement and it worked. i downloaded my tuck info and got the tune downloaded on the procl 4.
now, i am going to take it to a ASE certified mechanic, so, he can just hit the enter key to tumn the truck.
i am so tempted just to do it, but, i know that if i do, i...
thank you for the quick response.
but, no luck. i have checked everything and nothing works. the unit will not come on once pluged into the OBD. maybe a defective cable? not sure. i am trying to get in touch with mountuneusa and see if they can help since i bought it from them.
just received my procal 4 last night. i registered and downloaded the program onto the unit. this morning i went to downloaded my truck info by connecting the tuner/unit to the OBD II port and nothing happened. the unit does not power up at all.
i hooked it up back to the laptop and the units...
thank you. i will try that. The paperwork indicates ASE/Red Seal certified technician . are those hard to find? or is ASE and Red seal 2 different technicians/certifications? i will start looking.
thank you again.
quick question for you guys, i got the Ford performance tuner on sale during black Friday and now i am just waiting to receive it.
i have contacted 2 dealers so far and they want $400 to install. i explained that i would download and upload the tuner and all they have to do is just installed on...
thank you so much for the feedback.
i did it by removing lower control arm from the frame .
2 hours and i was done with both sides. the truck rides and looks amazing. i will post pictures soon.
for anyone tackling this project, please, do it by removing the lower control arms from the...
i just installed mine in my FX4 about 2 weeks ago. i used the highest setting which translated into 2.5 inches lift in the front. ride is perfect just the way i expected it. firm, but, not stiff. great for the front. the rear are not adjustable, but, they provide a huge improvement compared to...
i did exactly that today. never a concern with the axle. it took me 3 hours. driver side 2 hours, the passenger side was much faster. i am getting an alignment tomorrow and saved myself some $. around here all shops i spoke with wanted $500 plus for the install.
i will post pictures tomorrow.
quick question for you guys: i have read that if you remove the cam bolts (bolts attaching the lower control arm to the frame, also, you need to place marks on where the alignment cams are, ) then, there are no issues removing the struts and there is no risk of the axle coming off. there is a...
My 1st post here. hope no one thinks i am nuts, but, when removing or installing the struts, would it not be easier to use the spring compressor once the spindle is lose while the struts is still in place?
this will alleviate the issue of risking pushing the lower a-arm too far down and...
