My truck is at the dealer on Day 2 now. 2019 XLT FX4 w/82k miles. I replaced the DPFE, had all fluids replaced about 20k miles ago. Bucking, hesitating specifically between 3d and 4th gear when not at full throttle. Last visit about 4 months ago, the tech said he reprogrammed the throttle...
I am trying to determine if the truck always does this and I am just noticing it because I was listening to an audiobook for once, or if it's an issue.
When driving 70-80mph and letting off of the accelerator I get this low pitch noise/howl (sounds like wind noise or blowing over the top of a...
Iām at 18 months and 24k miles. River crossings, highways, deep snow, and mountain jeep trails - 4 oil changes and one alignment so far. Canāt complain
Okay, finally got out there today with the new Bilstein's on the rear. VAST improvement. Low speed compression is firmer - which is good because it dampens the wallowing the FX4 shocks have which made any given road bump an adventure.
The ride is slightly firmer, but it is good in the sense...
Thanks for that, I'll go back them off a bit. Only torque specs I could find were from a lift mod online manual, they were calling for 70 ft-lbs which seemed high, so I went a little lower. Measure with a micrometer and chop it with an axe.
Put my rears on yesterday, but have yet to drive due to Snowmaggedon here in Colorado. Speaking of torque, couldn't find any specs so I went with 65 ft-lbs
Interesting....last time I installed Bilsteins was on my OJ '96 Bronco. Quick question as a Ranger noob....The Engineers made a big deal about how the FX4 shocks were specifically tuned for off-roading. Any opinions on how changing the rear shocks will affect offroad performance? I had my...
I guess Iām a little different of a driver. I live in Colorado and drive to work once a week (I fly planes for a living) - 70 miles one way. Iām averaging 22-25 mpg consistently for the past 14 months Iāve owned my XLT FX4. Iāve even hit 27 mpg average. When Iām around town Iām getting just over...
