The Weathertechs do rub slightly with a bigger tire than stock due to the bulge on the front flaps FYI. Not enough to concern me though, they're great IMO.
This was my thinking as well OP. The B/S 255's are 30.1" . The 265/70's are 31.7" <-----THIS is what should have came on the 4x4 truck. Don't matter if it FX4 or not.
You will be pleasantly surprised on looks and handling. So glad I got rid of those Bridgestones.
Heads up, though. Your speedo...
For some reason I've been infatuated with tires lately. So I broke down and ordered a decent tire inflator. Came in last night. Tirewell brand. Good company. Nice bag and will keep it with me.
Have the same truck except a '19 and it's super cab. And yes, you look for excuses to get out and drive it. Do you have the Bridgestone A/T's on it? That's the only thing I regretted on it, but since then I've swapped them out.
The Eye Catcher inlays were the best money spent for me so far. I put the raised matt black on my magnetic and the brand lives up lives up to it's name.
My first thought was did you confirm remote functions inop after receiving the notice?
I don't take the detail's on Ford pass aap as gospel. I've found them to be inaccurate.
And how long was it parked prior to your drive?
Good to know and glad it worked out for you. Reminds me of all the snap, crackle, pops we had doing airbag inflator replacements.
We tried everything out there but one day while on the tool truck I noticed a 2 part kit for joining plastic and metal back together.
On the abs plastic, you would...
I had the same idea this past week HC. I wanted cheap and reliable and since I stepped up to taller tires last month, it bugged me about the spare and thinking about being on a trail or zipping down the interstate.
Keeping the 16" steel I matched up the same diameter and brand of tire for less...
Looks right at home there. I'll take the grass all day. Here we have leaves! I hate chomping through the grass AND the leaves. Clogs the bagging chute continuously.
Oh it was a cream puff. Oklahoma car. Clean 1 owner 53K miles. It was a base model '68 Galaxie 500 fastback. White, black vinyl roof. 302 2V. No AC, no PB, just P/S. Sure miss that one.
Just put a strip of tape between bed and cab and eyeball it in the rear view when flexing.
This is what Ford did in the intro of the Ranger with all the cross members that it has.
I would say even loaded up it would be minimal.
