I have not read this thread from the beginning but if you have not replaced the EGR yet, I highly suggest doing so before letting them tear into your truck. Too simple to overlook and the change in behavior is immediately noticed.
Visit the Crutchfield site and enter in your vehicle details. You'll get a feel for what is needed. In short, you'll replace your Head Unit, the faceplate and install an IDatalink Maestro to interface it with the truck. Any good shop can do the install, you just need to figure out what head...
I replaced my EGR Valve on my 2021 with 17k miles this morning. All I can say is Wow! I did not realize how bad my truck was with not holding gears and that terrible downshift bump coming to a stop sign or coasting through turns. Once again, only 17k miles. Ugh!
It makes me scratch my head...
It will be interesting to see how supply and demand plays out over the next year. Contrary to the article stating consumers will shoulder the cost of inflation, buying will slow with rising interest rates. If Ford gets an influx of parts, the market will flood and that’s great for consumers...
LOL, I've dropped things in the engine bay myself making it the longest portion of the job so I feel your pain! ;)
Great to hear of your results. I think I may grab one myself as I do get some bucking / surging here and there. Not as much as others have reported as I am in tow mode often and...
Interesting. First post on the site for the thread creator and first post for the the positive follow up. Gee...ya think they're getting paid to do this? At least offer a coupon code or something, ugh!
Agreed. I am curious to see how sticker prices respond in a couple of years. Sticker prices have far outpaced inflation. The vindictive side of me can't wait to see some dealers shutter. ;)
That sucks. It wasn’t easy to see from the pic was why I asked and was hopeful for you that is all it was. Get it fixed with a guarantee from the dealer and see what kind of perks you can get thrown in for your frustration and inconvenience….using their service that was suppose to be for...
Are you sure it is your paint that is scratched or is that paint or say PVC from a door guard that rubbed onto your paint? FWIW, if it is rubbed onto your paint, a magic eraser will get that off. Be light and careful though to just check before getting too heavily into removing it, magic...
As much as I hate to admit it, if I see a Denali at the local dealer next year, I know I'll have to stop and look at it. On the bright side, that local dealer has always been lousy with their numbers so there is no threat of me buying it. LOL. But kudos to Chevy/GMC bringing some nice products...
With the recent legislation to bring back the EV credit, I knew this was going to happen. I just didn’t expect it to be such an apparent smack in the face this soon.
I actually thought they didn’t look too bad in print….thinking it might actually look better in person….and then I seen one, even worse than print. I can’t see how anyone could look at that truck and think it is so much better looking than a Ford, Ram or Chevy.
Because of this thread, I tested mine today. Both passenger and driver side are the same speed but because I am clueless ;) I finally noticed that the rear windows do not go down all the way. I didn’t know that. No big deal, I just found it interesting.
Just the FOB for me, nothing else. I always use the garage door to get in and out of the house when going or returning so I never need a house key. I do have a house key in the truck, just in case but the garage door does have its own battery backup so it’s never been an issue.
Nice ride man! I have had several full sized trucks before going to the Ranger, two being F150s.
F150 vs Ranger are two different beasts for sure with each having it's place. The F150 however is Ford's meat and potatoes so it gets every attention to detail.
Help me understand your numbers a...
I understand your point of view and agree. Overcoming environmental factors and vehicle noise, throughout all conditions and speeds just can’t be achieved with typical aftermarket equipment.
That is not to say that it isn’t worth doing, it’s just not going to be as good throughout but with...
