Not to change this discussion; but yes my speedometer and mpg is off a bit off using taller tires. The reason for me to switch out the tires was to have higher air pressure and load rating “E“ for towing my Airstream.
No need for sway bar / leveling system, I’ve towed my Airstream flying Cloud 19 all summer with 600lbs camper system in the bed and had no issue. Just make sure your truck / trailer are very level. For those who are wondering the Ranger is an awesome tow vehicle!
Interesting... because I have 600lb in the bed and 650lb tongue(6k pound Airstream) and my ranger seems level. But will add airbags to help with load sway, when they become available.
Now I’m impressed... I towed my Airstream (6000lbs/710lbs tongue) from Tucson to Flagstaff which has some pretty steep grades with no problem, 65-70 mph up hill all day! Also to add weight I have 600lbs in the bed with my Alu-cab pop-top camper & gear. The only down side may have been the 13mpg.
