It will fit behind the rear seat in the resess to the right and above the jack. You can also leave the jack in place. I had BB install mine and they did a great job.
lol - I installed the Hideaway too - I like it. I also installed DSK165.3 and DCX 165.3 front and rear respectively and love them. Check them out when you are shopping for replacements.
I made the decision that if I ever sold the truck id let the speakers go with it. I gutted the factory speakers to use as adapters. It worked well, the fronts are angled and seal to the door panel. Use the same allows for a perfect fit. Dremel, spiral bit and some sandpaper will do the trick.
OC4095s panel photos was big help when i replaced mine.
Thess photos are inital setup before I phase checked so dont use my wiring as confimation. I also replaced the wire nuts with disconnects. I plan to drive the wheels off so i didn't mind trashing the OE speakers for their adaptors. It would...
I'm getting ready to replace my oem speakers with Hertz Deici 165.3s. Has anyone replaced front componts and figured out the polarity of wiring? Specifically the 4 wires into the mid.
The component speakers I'm installing have a separate crossover. I've been told only 2 of the 4 wires will be...
Are you saying the factory studs are only 0.5" long? I have not pulled a wheel yet. I'm thinking about adding a 1.25" spacer to fill out the wheel well but don't want to trim the studs. If I have to trim, Ill just save my money and buy new wheels.
Thanks! Did you build your own box? I've looked around online and can't find one that looks like it will fit. If you have a design or a source would you mind posting? I found a low profile 10" driver on parts express that will work in a 0.3cft sealed box. I haven't started working out the...
Ah thanks. Are you using hub rings to mount them. If so where did you find yours? I'm pretty much a noob so relying heavily on YouTube and forums. I had been looking at that wheel in an r18 +20 from what I can tell I need an 108 to 93.1. I can't find a pre-made
Any chance you have a picture. I see on the back driver side there is place on the flow that looks like a mounting point. I just wonder if this is where Ford bolts the sub.
I have the standard sync 3 and think the sounds is decent enough. I just wish there was a little more bass to balance things out.
I figured if the B&O system has a sub, it should not be too difficult to add an after market. Does anyone know how/where the B&O sub is installed?
Would a powered...
