  1. Anybody recognize this sound??

We believe it's due to the wastegate actuator cycling. Seems to happen within different gears. No specific gear upshift or downshifts. What kind of live data should I look for to check the turbo parameters and/or wastegate actuator?
  2. Anybody recognize this sound??

Posting for a friend with a 2019 with 65k on it. Got an intermittent 'whirring' noise between 2,000-3,000 rpm when driving. Almost sounds like an electronic motor or something similar to a hydraulic power steering pump sound. (Just being descriptive, I know these trucks have electric power...
  3. Motor stalls after hours of driving, Code P008A

*****Final Results***** Okay so after taking it for a long multi day drive out on a desert offroading trip and not having anymore stalling issues or codes pop up, it was indeed the fuel pump that was failing. New pump was the solution. She's running in top shape again after the new fuel pump...
  4. Motor stalls after hours of driving, Code P008A

****Update**** Throwing parts at it; Well fellas, got a new fuel pump in there. Was easy enough to do. Just had to wait a week for it to showup through shipping. What do yall think? Could she use a little more dirt? 😅 I think I dropped about 100lbs of gravel that was caught up in between the...
  5. Motor stalls after hours of driving, Code P008A

Woah! Thats wild! Would be a good indicator to catch a failing fuel pump before it completely crashes. This is something i will look for on live scans now. Considering i do lots of long trips, and put on 30k+ miles a year. I really should get a ling range fuel tank. But until then, with the...
  6. Motor stalls after hours of driving, Code P008A

Yes, i will confirm if your suspicion is the same for my setup too. Hopefully i have similar results and new feedback of PID's like Bill had. I appreciate all your guys' help! Sorry for the delay in responses, life is busy. I will keep you posted on the PID reset/search.
  7. Motor stalls after hours of driving, Code P008A

Oh!!!! This may be exactly what I was dealing with! I will do this later tonight and report back. Would certainly bring a calmness to my curiosity of the missing PID. But the new fuel pump is already in 😅, so unfortunately reading the live data won't determine the actual pressured produced by...
  8. Motor stalls after hours of driving, Code P008A

It does, I've searchwd through all modules. With key word searvh for fuel and without using any keyword search and just scrolling through the entire list of PID's searching for anything closely related to actual fuel pressure from the low fuel pressure end. I will triple check all modules to see...
  9. Motor stalls after hours of driving, Code P008A

    No, I do not have that same PID from the screenshot in post #18 Here is a quick video of all the fuel related PID'S that show up for me;
  10. Motor stalls after hours of driving, Code P008A

All great info! I appreciate all the input! Although replacing the LFP sensor would be preventive, and convenient while having the tank already down, I'm too stubborn and also curious to know if thats my actual problem, so I don't mind dropping the tank twice if it came down to that 😅 If...
  11. Motor stalls after hours of driving, Code P008A

Just wanted to keep everyone updated. Sorry, was out of town the last few days. The Ranger has been parked in the driveway this whole time. I ordered the OBD Link EX Forscan tool recommended on the forscan software page thinking this would load the PID for the FLP_actual, as opposed to the...
  12. Motor stalls after hours of driving, Code P008A

Oh!? I didn't even think of that. Totally overlooked that possibility. I'll have to chevk that tonight. Maybe run a cable camera down it to check the secondary flap/valve.
  13. Motor stalls after hours of driving, Code P008A

Okay, thats easy enough to read. I see where I can access and probe the pins for the FLP sensor using the C410 connector. But I've never done a sensor check with a voltmeter before. How do I check that? Is there a conversion from volts/ohms to get a PSI 'actual' reading? What am I looking for...
  14. Motor stalls after hours of driving, Code P008A

I believe so? I am still new to navigating my way through Forscan. I simply go to the "Select PID's dialog" window and search for anything Fuel related. I even scanned all the way through the menu without using 'fuel' as a filter keyword.
  15. Motor stalls after hours of driving, Code P008A

Its strange to me that the PCM doesn't provide an 'actual' FLP PID, because isn't this the fuel low pressure sensor above the tank right there? One would think that sensor is specifically designed for 'actual' readings for the FLP system.
