Looking at getting a dash cam with a rear camera for my 2024 Ranger. What are the suggested options these days? I'd prefer something I could hard wire in, I am not a fan of having a cord running to my USB C port or similar, would prefer to hide all the wires if possible. I know wiring the rear camera may require pulling the headliner and all that jazz. The camera having parked collision detection would be preferred, but not a deal breaker. Just looking for what you guys are running / recommend?!

Are there any guides / tutorials on a clean installation? Any help is appreciated. Trying to do my own research but it seems tough to find good info.

I was looking at something along the lines of the "FITCAMX Dash Cam for Ford Ranger (2024-2025, 5th Gen) Wildtrak, Raptor" but I am not sure if it would work with my XLT?

Thanks a ton, sorry if this is a duplicate post.

I use a Cobra SC220c Dash Cam. https://www.cobra.com/products/sc-2..._KwwYa3dr2MoJR3LEOqkN_a8oBavZyy4cyuWBfZviRB7_ It was my 1st and I like it a lot. I had a mechanic help me choose which fuses to tap. I ran the wires up the A-pillar and under the headliner. Then, I removed the trim around the mirror and made a small notch with my Dremel for the USB-C power supply to exit. It was actually pretty easy. I really liked how sleek and lo-profile this device was. It records in the cabin with an IR camera. And, it's not expensive.

I just installed the Wolfbox G900 Tri-Pro in place of my factory rearview mirror. That thing blows away any Dash Cam I've ever seen. I have not wired in the front and rear auxiliary cameras yet but I did test them and they are sharp. It is expensive but totally worth it due to the amazing image quality and ease of use...

I picked up a Viofo A329s on cyber Monday, I haven't installed it yet but I've had 2 other Viofo's on other cars and the picture quality is quite good. It's a traditional style cam, but I picked up a Dongar adapter to take power from the mirrors harness so I only need to run one wire to the rear cam though the headliner.

I never knew this existed! Awesome, nice way to clean up wiring to my radar detector. :like:
Is that a USB-C port coming out?

Yes the new gen one is USB-C, they switched over from USB-A this year. They discontinued the USB-A one.
Thanks, it looks like the C but the description is wrong.

Wolfbox looked interesting so I went to their website and was overwhelmed by the info and different types. Perhaps someone here could help. I have a 2019 Ford Ranger and am looking for a rear view mirror mount dash cam with front and rear cameras. I don't need parking mode or a lot of bells and whistles. Any suggestions?
