I installed WeatherTech Window Deflectors and afterwards had to adjust the Driver window settings to take it off the bounce-back feature. In other words it would go up automatically and when it got all the way up to the top it would not stay but reverse and return to the down position. That has been corrected.

Now I can adjust the Driver's window to either roll it up and down manually in increments or set it to roll either up or down automatically without stopping. But the passenger side will only roll up and down manually in increments and can't set it to roll up or down automatically.

My question is: Does the passenger window only have the option to roll up or down manually in increments and not the automatic option?

1. I couldn't find anything in the manual (p. 82-85) indicating whether the passenger side has the automatic option or not.
2.. Called a Dealer and they could only tell me that some vehicles do and some don't have the automatic option for the passenger side window but didn't know if the Ranger was equipped with it or not.
3. Called Ford and a rep. told me that the passenger side had to be equipped with the automatic option feature but couldn't tell me if my Ranger was equpped with that feature or not.

From what I have google up, the passenger window on the Rangers, all of em, are only manual power up/down. My Lariat is fully optioned with all the bells n whistles, and it has the manual power passenger window.
No auto feature like the drivers window.
You seem to be having bad luck with your Weather Techs...shame. Mine have been perfect and trouble free from day one.

Thanks Steve,
Thats what I suspected about the window operation.

Got the broken driver's side deflector replacement and it installed OK. WeatherTech said it was not unusual for the bounce-back feature to engage right after installation so after resetting the drivers window according to their instructions its working perfectly. I really like these deflectors (their looks, quality and firm secure mounting) and am looking forward to testing them for wind noise improvement, etc. :)

There are posts for an aftermarket module to make pass window an auto up/down but does not have jam protection.

Let us know! I love the look but not sure about usefulness/worth.

Those look great. We had WeatherTechs on our '94 ZJ. Leaving the window cracked open while parked reduces internal temps.

Looking forward to your report on noise.

Our SCab Lariat passenger window is only manual up/down.
Will let you know the results :)

My SuperCab XL passenger window does not have automatic up/down operation. Driver window, yes, Passenger window, No.
