Hi,

Need some help to troubleshoot an LED light strip circuit that I installed around the inside of Ranger's tub.
Straight after I installed and tested all worked well until I took the car for a drive :)
Now having some unusual / intermittent issues with the indicators and park assist. I assume that the car didn't like were I taped into 12V Accessory power from.

for reference my car is PX3 Ranger Wildtrak 2021 and to power the light circuit I took 12V Accessory power from a plug that is located under the tub, near the LHS rear wheel ( See attached pic with arrow ).

I basically spliced the light brown wire with 12V Accessory and taped into it.
This is the cable that sits right next to the violet / red wire that has constant 12V power.
The plug module feeds the rear trailer plug and I think this is now causing the electrical system grief.

What I installed:-

1 x 16ft 5630 Super Bright Waterproof 300 LED Strip Light DC12V 6A W/3M Tape Lamp AU ( See attached PIC )
1 x IP67 Rated Illuminated Push button Switch ( See attached PIC )

Tested the circuit outside of the car with a spare 12V batt and all worked fine, left it running for some time.

Thanks in advance
Alex
