Hello,

I was wondering who would be interested in running parts of the Washington Backcountry Discovery Route (WABDR) this summer? I've always wanted to tackle it in sections. Good way to try out the FX4 package. It's passable by most any 4x4 from what I've heard. Mostly forest service roads and a few washouts that have to be navigated. It's heavily traveled, so I expect no issues. I'm interested in Running Packwood to Ellensburg to Cashmere sections first.

Here's a few websites that talk about it.

I’m down!! This is my first Ranger. I had an 03 Explorer a while back but never looked to do anything off road. I was looking at the WABDR myself but didn’t wanna run it alone.

Always great to have a Leader who researches and organizes a great Event.
I will book mark the info and come to WA once the borders open up.

Did you guys ever run this? I'm in Illinois but thinking about coming West next year to run at least a portion of it and would love to get some pointers and advice.

No, unfortunately this never happened this year. Summer ended up being too busy for me (work, kids, the works). There still is some time this year before snowfall, but most likely next spring.

Very interesting. Keep us informed. I live 5 miles from the Canadian border... so I might start from the other end...

I have done this twice but on my Husky 701.
I think it's all doable in a ranger with the locker.
I'll keep an eye on this thread to see if interest picks up again.
I'm in Spokane.
