I wouldn't want a fingerprint scan either. I live in the Great White North, and funny enough, about half of the year, I'm wearing gloves when I go out to my truck. That's gonna work real well after I get frostbite from having to pull off my gloves in below freezing temps to touch a piece of metal. As it is, the facial rec will become completely useless when I've got my jacket collar turned up, and my toque pulled lower over my face. At least with the retina scan, I could be mostly bundled up, and just remove my sunglasses in the dead of winter to unlock my phone. Using a keyed-in password isn't much better, because, again, have to remove the gloves; I have enough trouble getting my fat fingers to land on the right "key" as it is. Yeah, all of this shit really does do a better job of keeping me out than anyone else.
Once you get in use the heated steering wheel to warm those frozen fingers. Wait we don't have heated steering wheels. Guess you can just turn up the seat heaters to high and sit on them ?. Better yet unlock with your phone and the app.

You mean the phone which uses the exact same biometrics as they propose putting into the car, and which don't really work all that well...?
