Okay, here is what I’m thinking. When I first got my rig, my barely 4 yo thought it would be a good idea to scrape his handlebars into my lower passenger door. ??‍♂

I filled it in with a paint pen from the dealer, and it got buffed out but it’s a little higher than I have seen others who have these decals. Rather than painting the door, I am considering vinyl to cover it but I’m not sure if the location is too high up to look good or be feasible. It’s right on the lower crease, up from the lower door.

I have a Lightning Blue with mostly all black trim, with a black RSI Smartcap so I am thinking about adding some more black to the rig to fill in some of the open spots. Tell me if you think this decal I found on Etsy would be a good candidate for what I’m hoping to do.

Also, If you have some other suggestions, let me know. Thanks ya’ll… hope your New Year provides us all with the income we are surely going to need to make our trucks, truly ours.

The top picture is the areas I’m looking to use vinyl for. The bottom picture is the location of the scratch (before I used the paint pen)

The pictures below are some of the vinyl pieces I’m considering.

I’m trying to find a seller who will do this exact same print/font, but with Ranger instead of Raptor of course. I don’t like the claw scratches I see all over Etsy or the Raptor font with the digi or broken up lettering. This looks more clean in my opinion.

This last one, I am hoping to find an artist to change the Raptor name to Ranger, and then drop the Ranger part above that and insert it below and to the right, and in that Ranger font put “XLT Sport 4x4”… I know, it’s probably a lot to ask, but it would be nice to get something totally different. All would be in matte black.

Right idea but you might want to see if you have someone local that does auto vinyl first. It'll obviously cost more but they'll be able to cut it so that it follows the lines in the door where you're wanting it.

no, I just used the paint pen and they buffed It out when applying my clear vinyl on the hood. There is a very slight indent, my goal was to just clean it up and no rust until I find a more permanent solution. I’m not a paint guy, at all.
products to fill more of the scratch...
