  1. Brakes failed!

Dang. Did she stop it with the e brake?
  2. Lighting setup

Nice. Haven't seen these before. Says they're 2800 lumens. I intended to put some pretty basic lights in the slots for looks, but now I'm rethinking my approach. Maybe I use these in lieu of the inner pod lights. Would keep my bumper looking factory clean...
  3. Tow package issues

What exactly does trailer sway do? I leave it on, but maybe I don't need/want it on?
  4. Lighting setup

So the locations I'm wanting to install amber marking lights....what are the slots for? Best I can tell just aesthetics.
  5. Lighting setup

Gotcha. Thanks for the heads up. I see what you mean. That may work to my advantage actually. I'm planning to design and fabricate light mounts. Thinking it'll be cheaper to make my own bracket for the fog light locations than buying the factory parts necessary to mount fog lights. Maybe I can...
  6. Lighting setup

    Thanks man.
  7. skid plates. when 2 become 1

It has to do with your trim level...not necessarily 4x4. My truck came with the smaller plate and no transfer case cover even though it's a 4x4.
  8. Lighting setup

Those headlights are sweet. Honestly hadn't thought of starting with upgrading my headlights first, but I suppose that does make the most sense. These might be a little over my budget. What's considered the best bang for your buck headlight upgrade on an XL?
  9. Morimoto XB Fog Lights

Have you driven much with only yellow on?
  10. DIY Ranger Wooden Bed

That thing is sweet. If I squint enough I can almost see a mid-sized truck dually. Funny the tail lights on it are the same as the one I posted. Edited: spelling typo
  11. Lighting setup

Planning to add some lights to my truck. Marked up a photo for what I want. Since I don't have factory fog lights or the required brackets I'm looking to go full aftermarket. Any suggestions?
  12. DIY Ranger Wooden Bed

Haha. Man the parking lot at that place was always a walk through the wild side. I'll see if I can find a photo of the zombie apocalypse hyundai I used to see there.
  13. Carpeted Panel between Cab and Bed Holding Water

You can look it up on some Ford parts websites. I looked, but can't find it on levittown ford's. Found out you can purchase an entire new bed for $2k though. Kinda cool.
  14. DIY Ranger Wooden Bed

Possibly, but they were smart enough to not put the dealer decal on it. Can't say I blame them. Needs a vanity plate. I think a plate that reads "JED'S" would be pretty funny.
  15. DIY Ranger Wooden Bed

I wish I could be so lucky to run across that dealer.
  16. Carpeted Panel between Cab and Bed Holding Water

Look for the part number? I bet the part description will tell you Ford's intent.
  17. "Steelie Dan" '21 XL Ranger Build

Gotcha. I wonder if you could just order the drop in tailgate piece. It has shallow cup holders on each side. Excited to see your top when it comes in. I've been eyeballing a few on craiglist. Been meaning to email this guy and see if it'd fit the ranger. Rack looks pretty stout.
  18. Off Roading without a FX4 package.

Gotcha. Haven't played with Forscan before. I know I can't do the TM button with the dash I have, but you think I can get the locker button to work?
  19. "Steelie Dan" '21 XL Ranger Build

Wow we have the exact same spec truck. Following this thread. Are you going to spray in bedliner or drop in liner? I got a factory drop in from a local dealer for $250 delivered to a friend's shop that I'm pretty happy with two days after purchase. Dealer I bought the truck from wanted $600...
  20. Off Roading without a FX4 package.

I've dug on on the forum a bit. Best I can tell you can do the factory locker, but you'd have to add a toggle switch to activate the locker since we don't have all of the bells, whistles, and buttons. If I can find a wrecked Ranger with a locker I may just swap everything out at once (brakes and...
