  1. Truck doing some wacky things...

Thanks for the reply Phil, and you're bang on of course - it's not bad design, rather bad calibration. With all the various driver aids available, I may be getting confused. I didn't think that this was one that I can enable/disable, am I wrong about that?
  2. Multiple subtle issues - 11.5k miles

#1 is apparently working as designed. Ford claims it is a traction control/ABS system kicking in when the yaw sensor detects excessive roll/slippage/etc. Seems ridiculously sensitive in my opinion. See additional comments in this thread...
  3. Truck doing some wacky things...

Got the truck back today. According to Ford, it's working as designed. They claim it is a traction control/ABS system kicking in when the yaw sensor detects excessive roll/slippage/etc. Seems ridiculously sensitive in my opinion, this happens when turning out of a regular parking lot, with the...
  4. Truck doing some wacky things...

Did a drive with a dealership tech today, and was able to reproduce the grinding problem. His conclusion was that the traction control was kicking in when it shouldn't be. He mentioned that it could be one of several things, like a tone ring being incorrectly calibrated or something like that...
  5. Truck doing some wacky things...

No aftermarket suspension or any modifications on mine. Problem is getting worse if anything. Was in with the dealer for a week on the 19th, no resolution yet. I needed the truck back this week and will be dropping it back next week again. Dealer is very apologetic and is now adamant that they...
  6. Truck doing some wacky things...

I finally got the dealer to replicate last week, and they diagnosed it as a fault with the shift solenoid. They applied TSB-2052 (not sure why that would solve it) and said it didn't happen after they did so. Didn't work, still happening for me. Scheduled to be back in with them on 9/19 to see...
  7. Truck doing some wacky things...

I totally agree, and what I'm trying to do now is get the 'corner grinding' on video so I can show the dealer. I am just under 3K miles, and it's happening once a week or more. I have no understanding of lemon laws, or what obligation the dealer would be under to replace a truck under these...
  8. Truck doing some wacky things...

Just got off the phone with the service tech again after reporting that the TSB did not resolve the "corner grinding" issue. His response was, "well, I'm sure Ford are working on a fix for it but we don't have anything to tell you yet - maybe check back in a month or so." not exactly confidence...
  9. Truck doing some wacky things...

Interesting. Corners don't seem to have to be sharp for mine to exhibit this. Turning left from a stop at a regular T-Junction intersection can trigger it.

This happens to mine once a week. Happens mostly turning left from a stop. Sounds like grinding (almost like the sound of missing a gear in a manual transmission or something) and engine loses power for a few seconds. Had it in the dealer for 2 days this week, their best guess was that the ABS...
