Not applicable because they aren't selling it at the moment (V2 coming sometime in the future) but the GFC superlite was a great deal for a quality wedge style tent on billie bar racks and with a soft rolling tonneau cover (rolls under the low racks all the way up). Actually selling the whole...
Since you mentioned hiding the wires in the bed rack extrusion; One thing that hides it super well and keeps it protected are these t-track cover inserts. It leaves a gap for the cables and makes it completely invisible. Worked out great for me (obviously get it in black and can cut it to size).
Gotcha. Just quoting what other people have said for issues since i never encountered the “trailer connection detection”.
I believe they can get around it by cutting the inline resistors to decrease the total load. My speculation is that the power draw of the pod alone is low enough to not...
Totally. If you dont already have the light I would think hard about the purchase. Like OP, I also had no clue our hitches weren't open backed until after I got the product. Either way the DD harness is interesting since the modifications to it seem to work well. I dont know how well other...
Best to look it up on youtube. But you just pry up the orange cap on the front with a small screw driver (“the wedge”) and then inside youll see clips that you just have to push on with said small screwdriver and pull out the wire. Super easy. Hint: take a picture of the wire locations before.
You could just add a quick disconnect switch in-line that is small enough in diameter to fit through the hole to pull the deutsch/ quick connect segment through when u need to tow. Just an idea. I dont tow so just felt like offering up an easy solution for those who want to make the DD light work.
read this post right before going to install my DD hitch light. I decided to drill out the driver side tab of the hitch light and route the wire through the hitch pin hole. Ps easy to de-pin Deutsch connector and slip through. My suggested steps:
1. Depin connector going to hitch light
2. Unplug...
I have about 26in from my rearmost support plate which is over the recommended but I’m watching out for any negative affects. (None so far) as far as overhanging the truck i can say its a little less than the length of the tailgate when its down. I stand on the tailgate to get in and when down...
Hey I’m in the same area and wanted to know if you have any spot you like for ranger install. Looking at suspension and leveling and If I dont get the chance to do it myself I will just have someone do it. All the generic places I called in newport were snarky about it and didn't know much about...
