I have the same chip too. Noticed it today. Bothers the crap out of me.. I think its the headlight assembly touching the fender that caused the chip for me. Gonna look at it more tomorrow and touch it up if I can.
Why is a hoist recommended for the lower control arm removal part? To line up the lower when re-assembling? Would a floor jack with a 2x4 supporting both sides of the lower control arm not work? I plan on trying this way this afternoon, so any advice is welcome.
What psi are you running? Tire place put 32psi in mine and it felt too floaty. One day when it's not raining I'll do the chalk test but just curious what you settled on.
