I don't have them adjusted very far off from each other. It's not like I went crazy lol. They are very close to the same. But no, they are the same spring rate each. No + or -.
The front coilovers have the same spring rate. They are just ride height adjustable with threaded collar. The rear was drastic because I built up the leaf pack super soft. So I re-built them back up slightly stiffer (both sides). But the driver side has an ever so slight stiffer build. They are...
I'm not launching the thing lol. I'm talking a couple of inches off the ground. The Icon Coilovers do have a rubber bump stop on the shaft. That's why I do not recommend the BDS UCA's. Seems to be a overlook that the knuckle is too large and it hits the top of the wheel well at full compression.
The rear was very simple since the axle travels in a vertical line. Jack up the rear to full droop and measure from top of leaf spring pad to bottom of bump stop. Front was more complicated, but still pretty easy. I just jumped it a few times and my UCA smacked the top of the wheel well which...
I have this lean as well on my 2020. Driver side of the truck is definitely heavier/not the best weight distribution. I never checked or noticed with the stock leaf springs. I noticed after I installed a full Icon kit. Front coilovers, rear springs and shocks. The softer spring rate of the Icon...
Yeah I hear ya there!!! I have the same issue now as well lol. Gotta carry blocks just in case I get a flat out on the road because the stock jack definitely won't lift the truck enough anymore lol
I was searching for info on total wheel travel in inches before purchasing the whole Icon kit front and rear with extended travel coilovers. Couldn't find anything really.
So now that I have everything installed, I went ahead and did some measurements myself and it is quite impressive really for...
I kinda did this with my Icon leaf pack. But instead of adding a leaf to one side I took one out from how they are received. Worked like a charm. I feel no adverse effect either. I romp that thing nice and hard off road?. Doing great!!! I have a YouTube video about how I went about my process.
Ok. I'm thinking they added more "safety" to the stability control function on the 2020 model.
Mine will let me do about half a donut before kicking in pretty darn good. That's short press and long press combined, doesn't matter lol
Well I've got the 2020 model stx and stability does kick in hard once drifting to about a 30 degree angle or so.... That's short press plus long press. Doesn't matter on mine. That's in 2 wheel drive though. Haven't tried to drift that aggressively in 4 wheel drive. And I'm talking aggressive 40...
When you get to your off road spot or open area to play around, pop the hood and take fuse #25 out. Now everything is disabled completely ???. Works like a charm lol.
I have this same setup but it absolutely killed my mpg, went from 24 combined to 19. With tire calibration with ForScan done as well. Did you get the same effect??
Yup I have a co worker that has the ridge grapplers and they like them a lot as well. They have them in LT.
About how much does that tune cost?? And is it just increasing torque pretty much?? Which in turn will rotate a larger tire more easily.
Yeah I don't tow a damn thing lol.
Just my dirt bike pretty much. Was more of a spur of the moment decision. Also at the time I didn't realize ridge grapplers came in a single load...... Oh well, live and learn right.
