I have the same Mountains 2 Metal grille insert and it's had no negative effects on the ACC module. The company has even tested it themselves. Good quality unit and much better than getting dings all over the condenser

Agreed. Should have really been a safety consideration. What I do is use a 2 part isopropyl alcohol, 1 part water mix in a spray bottle and it works wonders to eliminate frost and ice on the mirrors.
