  1. Driveshaft center support bearing

I hope so, too. After reading some I believe Ford had a bad batch in 2019-2020 and should have corrected it.
  2. Driveshaft center support bearing

This is my daughter's truck. It never gets over 35 mph. The 19-20s had early failures. She never goes fast enough to get anything warm. I think that's why it's lasted this long. I drive it once a month for a shake-down and to get the oil(S) up to temp. It's the main reason I change the oil...
  3. Driveshaft center support bearing

I tried a one piece on a previous truck. 1994 ranger. The transmission tail shaft had a slip yoke but wasn't designed for the extra load and in and out motion under load. After 35,000 miles it tail shaft was lose and leaking. I ended up buying a used transmission and driveshaft assembly. That...
  4. Driveshaft center support bearing

The driveshaft center support bearing started squeeling last week. Not that big of a deal. It turns out to be the tail of two dealerships. Mac Hiek Ford, Pasadena, TX 7/14 dropped the truck off Friday. Understood the truck would be diag Monday. I told them that the problem was. But customers...
  5. Leaves Between Bed and Cab

Pull the badge off the fender and look down. My front fender was full of crap
  6. Motorcraft FL-400S Oil Filter

I know this is an old post, but my Tacoma uses the same filter. The larger in the wix is a 51516xp. Same micron, bypass etc just a little larger. Wix has all the stats on their website
  7. First towing experience

Here is my first load to tow with the ranger. Truck empty 4280 lbs Truck trailer and load 9360lb (5080lbs trailer and load) I guess ford put the spring bump stops as the load carrier. It rides kinda of rough but doesn't sway. If I pulled this much in a regular basis I'd look for tires with...
  8. Admitting you have a problem is the first step right?

We got a little more done to my daughters truck. She painted the exhaust and installed the tip. I showed her how to used an impact. It's still a little hard for me to get around. I'm still recovering from the broken leg. She did fair on the front ford emblem blackout decal. The rear turned...
  9. Admitting you have a problem is the first step right?

We'll ummm, this isn't even my truck. It's going to be my daughters in about 6 months. I bought it because of the safety features buuutttttt, I miss tinkering with a project. The kid enjoys working on it so I use that as an excuse. This far, WeatherTech mats, ceramic coated, ecoboost emblem...
  10. The PIC whore club! Come on in!

Count me in with that color. I've a broke leg so I have been able to do much to the truck. I did get the WeatherTech mats in, clayed and ceramic coated, and removed the ecoboost emblem off the back
  11. What is something you love, and something you dislike about the Ranger?

I cut a little piece of foam cushion to pad my knee in our 18' explorer. I stash it in the center console for long trips. I'll probably do the same thing for the ranger.
  12. What is something you love, and something you dislike about the Ranger?

I'm new here and I'd like to thank everyone that contributes to the forum. I'd say I'm in love with the drivetrain. I like engines that don't rev to the limiter just to get power. I don't think it ever goes over 2k rpms. I'm averaging 18.8 over the last 600 miles. (Hand calculated)All local...
  13. Quality Seat Covers?

Thanks for the reply. Katzkin quoted 1500 installed for black leather. That's about 1000 in labor. There are ebay sellers that sell the product for 5-600
  14. Quality Seat Covers?

I emailed them for the cost to cover ranger seats. Do you know what your son paid for his?
