Went with SL for the weight savings. It's a sport 4x2 with the locker. My vesion of off road will be light trails, fire breaks, wet lime rock and if I hafta some mud. No rocks or tuff stuff for me. I really didnt need the extra ply or sidewall. Ride quality feels a bit better than stock tire but...
Another vote for the TOYO OC AT3 !
265 70r17 . On stock suspension ( sport 4x2 )
No rubbing, handle great, only a hand full of miles on them but very happy so far!
Finally got new rubber !...265/70/17 SL rated so they're not too heavy ( 4x2 sport suspension).
TOYO Open Country AT3. A little noisy, but low radio or AC covers it. Smooth riding, no changes in Fuel economy with easy driving. Speedo is 2 mph off (actual is greater than indicated ) at all...
In my ranger 6.2 qrts in the crank case would be too much... even with a empty filter. I would assume the 6.2 qt capacity includes the filter. To be honest I actually use a little less than 5.5 quarts total. When I did my first at 1000 miles I wasnt going to buy a 7th quart jut use ".2 " of...
I've had success starting with an oil free dipstick by wiping it down with a few squirts of break clean before checking then wiping it down with BC again in between dips to make sure im hitting the same mark. After adding my new oil ( some in the filter as well ) and running it for a minute...
No worries....Ur spot on with " get out there and enjoy ur truck" ... i waited several months too long before enjoying some basic to moderate trail riding. i was skeptical at first ( without 4WD) but ive learned with the locker, even on stock tires, this truck still does very well in deep sand...
Thanks for the info. Ur truck looks great ! Im having a 2.5 RC level kit and 265/70/70 tires ( not sure which ones yet ) and an alignment installed by ford at the end of the month, i'll reccon I'll be ordering some spacers too.
I have a 2020 xlt crew with 9K mikes now. Drove easy ( break in ) on 87/89 octane for first 1K miles. Then did muffler delete, pedal commander and have ran 93 octane ever since. No k&n filter yet but will at some point. Pedal commander helps alot with lag especially from a roll. I feel this...
I've been digging through the forum for a while and cant find much of an answer to my question. I know that 265 70r17 is max size on stock suspension and with a lift even 1 inch will be fine with the spacers. I've also read of someone running a 1.25" spacer with stock suspension and 255/65 r17...
265 70r17 with 1" spacer on stock suspension.
I'm hoping I can do this with out rubbing. Not looking to remove my crash bars ( will adjust but not remove )
Is anyone running this configuration?
I cant make up my mind about a leveling kit or not so Im thinking I'll try this if it works. If any...
Has anyone done their own install with either of these kits ? They appeaer to be installed under the top plate? Same process as most of the other level kits like RC? Harder ? Easier? No install videos on youtube or instructions floating around. Not much talk about them here on ranger5g either...
IMHO... I highly doubt it. Considering most manufacturers ( including ford ) are making PR statements about how soon they will be " all electric ". Probably not to busy scheming up new combustion engine designs...especially ones with more moving parts and potentially higher emissions to midigate.
My ranger took my son and I to Tampa for his MEPS appointment. My Son is now officially part of the United States Air Force ! He was in for processing today, will most like be back for shipping in late June or July. I'm a super proud dad today !!!!
