Anderson instructs to disable tow vehicle sway control when using their hitch so the two won’t get into a pissing match. Don’t know about other hitches that include sway control.

Mine just stopped working. Don’t know exactly when or why but I’m not complaining.

Ordered my V series on 02/09/22 and it was installed yesterday.

Anyone towing with the Andersen hitch? Is it compatible with the Ranger sway control or does it need to be turned off?

Ok, I picked up the trailer and sure enough I plugged it up and everything worked perfectly. Guess I had my hair on fire for no good reason. Thanks to all who pointed that out to me.

I found mine in the small bundle coming thru the fire wall by feeling the wires that looped back up into the into the bundle instead of continuing on. I was about to give up when I felt those and pulled on them and sure enough it they came out.

Looks that is the only option. Just hoping that there was a plug-in solution.

The 7 pin connector on the Ranger uses the SAE J2863 specs and that wiring is definitely different for the wiring of either the 7-way Traditional RV or the 7-way Standard RV wiring. Plugging either one of those into the Ranger will not provide full functionally if it works at all.

I have aa 2019 XLT with the towing package. The documentation states that the 7 blade connect uses a SAE J2863 connector. I am purchasing a small travel that appears to use the traditional 7 way blade connector and does not appear to be compatible with the J2863. Has anyone solved this issue...
