I wish it had been that easy for me! Mine did not pick up automatically through the 100+ miles I drove, but I've read mixed feedback (with many reporting, as you mentioned, that they didn't have to do a thing besides drive their truck). After replacing the old wheels with the new set that came...
Figured it might be helpful to mention this in case anyone else has this issue. I got a new set of wheels and tires shipped to me with new TPMS' installed. I made some necessary adjustments for clearance and bolted them on the truck.
The TPMS sensors didn't connect to the truck even after...
Looks like there's another exciting option to get a bed rack to work seamlessly with a retractable tonneau cover!
In addition to Uptop Overland's TRUSS system, the Max Modular racks will fit on Retrax Covers (and Pace Edwards retractable covers) thanks to these new adapter mounts that they're...
Did you end up picking the rack up? If so, which height did you pick up? I'm looking to pick up the Retrax-compatible full height truss, but I've only seen a few pictures on their website of the Ranger, and those few are only for the standard mid height truss. I wish they had pictures of the...
Ahh, I wish I had seen your thread sooner! Your post helped me see what they looked like, so while we couldn't transact for yours, I do appreciate the pictures. I ordered them from Stage3--hopefully my lady ends up liking them!
That's a really good point @SafetyDan . Your option is probably more stout, with the benefit of being able to tie the loose paracord end to something on the truck so you don't loose it, but a member on here had used the cap linked below to cover off the quick disconnect ends and said it worked...
Ahh that makes sense. Do you think the notching increased any potential for water penetration, or is there still plenty of tonneau rail/bed rail interfacing inboard of the rack mounts to retain a good seal?
Looks like it works great! I couldn’t see much in terms of the interface between rack rail and the tonneau rail in the pictures, but I think the modifications involved were notching the rails and removing some material to give the bed rack mounts the flat surface area they need, is that right?
They actually replied to my email and mentioned that they will be shipping out their first full height Ranger rack this week, so they don't have any pictures. They told me to check out the Tacoma Retrax rack because it was the same as the Ranger Retrax rack, but I'm not sure that's the case...
I actually just saw that it has a 350 lb dynamic weight rating (based on their instructions here: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0084/3680/9788/files/upTOP_TRUSS_All_Models.pdf?v=1591117954), which seems to be in line with most other racks. I reached out to them and asked for some pictures of...
Wow this actually looks like a really cool option, @Justin87, thanks for sharing. I'm definitely considering this--do you know of anybody on the forums with the full height version? I think the mid-height is just a bit too short for what I want and I'm curious as to what the full height version...
Pictures, please! haha sounds like a cool project--I'm also looking to do something similar, though not sure I can do the added height from a full 20 gallons.
Hey @Deepworker, I ordered from @Stage3Motorsports, and they were great as usual. I was their first order for this specific bumper (at least of that batch), so they had to reach out to the supplier to actually confirm they had it available, but once that was all set, the bumper was at my door.
I actually did the opposite, because I wanted to be able to easily slide my mask (ahhh, 2020...) and other flat items underneath. I installed mount as far towards the windshield as possible, and I just drilled a hole in the inner plastic dash support structure where it was making contact with...
Like @rltriumph, I'm running the Builtright Industries mount with a RAM X grip phone holder (https://www.builtrightind.com/products/builtright-industries-dash-mount-2019-ford-ranger). It works great, and it's definitely not going anywhere. You just need to bolt the Builtright mount through the...
Would you mind sharing a picture of how it's mounted under the bed? I'm about to hit click on OBA, but I'm not sure if I can make an ARB twin fit (I would really prefer 100% duty cycle), or if I need to go with the single.
