You won’t regret getting it. The quality is great and I really love the way they designed the rails and bars with the dove tail attachments for things like awnings, lights, Jerry can holders etc.
I ended up getting a bed rack and buying an additional and larger ARB base rack for the rear to use...
The ARB Summit bull bar is compatible with the OEM front sensors. What’s nice is if you don’t have the sensors (like me), ARB provides plugs to cover those holes.
Good to know! I thought about this and went into the settings on the handheld and switched it so that the audio is coming out of the handheld and the unit itself. Seems to be loud enough but haven’t had a chance to test out on a track yet.
Electrical work isn’t my strong suite so went the route that I was confident in doing and gave me usability/ the option to take the unit out completely relatively quickly.
Yeah that was my initial goal too! But unfortunately I was restricted on the placement due to the space the antenna jack needed at the backside of the unit, the microphone jack and wanting to still use the little console shelf for random things that would get lost in the black hole. Luckily I...
1. I did debur the hole. Photos make it look worse than it actually was.
2. Fair point about heat build up. Didn’t think they got THAT hot. I’ll give some thought as to what a vent hole could look like and where.
Been lurking over a few threads on here for ideas on how I knew I wanted to install my midland Mxt275 GMRS radio so thanks to those members! This was mainly on how to add 12V to the center console and routing an antenna wire through the passenger side of the bulkhead.
Instead of doing a step by...
Thanks! I’m really pleased with how it turned out and can’t wait to put the awning on it once the quick release bracket arrives.
Not going to lie - having to drill holes in the roof was intense but ARB gave pretty good info in the instructions about a specific type of step drill to use to...
I did do it myself and gave myself a full day to do it as there’s definitely some tricky parts to installing it.
The biggest of which is drilling the holes into the roof (similar process to what Stage 3 show when they did the install video for the rhino rack I think) but you insert rivnuts...
I just installed the ARB base rack on my ranger this past weekend. Let me know what questions you have mate and I’ll try to answer!
Also - in case helpful for the question about attachments. This video does a good job of running through the pros of them and how ARB designed the rack so people...
Haha yeah they aren’t cheap! But @Stage3Motorsports shaved a few dollars off it for me and knowing it gives a better recovery angle than the stock tow hook. That’s how I sold myself on it haha.
I actually went with the Paranoid fabrications bracket that @Glocker I think suggested to someone...
Awesome! I’ll check them out.
Love the theme but a QLD plate would be better ;) also loving the snatch clothing decal - great bunch of blokes and their YouTube channel is great!
I also got through (most) of installing the Summit bull bar yesterday. Need to finish it up next weekend and install the ARB skid plates but LOVING the look of it all so far.
