I traded in a 2015 Explorer Limited for my 2019 Ranger XLT, and the only things I sometimes miss are the leather seats and the factory interior light kit integrated with the rest of the vehicle systems and adjustable to about any color you could want.
The practical part of my brain that wants to try and save money says to go the modified RCI route with the 12" version, which i could probably talk my better half into now, but the included swing up side access doors and lighting with the ZROADZ speaks to a different part of my brain that loves...
Great idea, you could do that same modification and make an RCI bedrack work (which are a little less expensive than either the PUTCO of ZROADZ), bolted to the top of the side rails
The side rails have some play already, i'll just end up with the cover hanging over the edge a little more than it does already, with the rails moved further inboard by whatever the thickness of the rack's rails are, and honestly that just gives me more moisture protection due to a larger overhang.
I've had my eye on either the PUTCO Venture TEC rack (https://realtruck.com/p/putco-venture-tec-rack/v/ford/ranger/2019/) or the ZROADZ Access OVerland Cargo Rack (https://realtruck.com/p/zroadz-access-overland-cargo-rack/v/ford/ranger/2019/), and then paired with an Overland Vehicle Systems...
I've actually got my wife considering a rack and roof top tent set up so we can take longer vacations or drive back to the midwest from the PNW to see family while flying isn't the safest option. Wish me luck closing that sale!
Issaquah/Sammamish, WA over here, one of several '19 Lightning Blue Supercrew XLT's running around the area. Would definitely be down for a meet but agree perhaps when things are a bit less....contagious?
Was actually out at Long Beach a couple weeks ago in an AirBNB, going back at the end...
For sure! I have the weathertech soft roll up cover, and the rails clamp in board of where this would mount, so i'm guessing it would work fine.
I am actually thinking of drilling into the side rails and bolting the cover rails on because the clamps keep coming loose. About every 5 times i...
Took it home April 2019, 22K miles later (I drive a LOT for work) the worst damage was just this last weekend. Picked up some wire mesh panels and had them strapped over the roof on a moving blanket, which slipped while I was taking them down and took the clear and color coats off the passenger...
Any recommendations on a rack system that will work with a WeatherTech soft tonneau cover? The side rails clamp to the inside face of of the bed rails, so the rack would have to mount to top of the bed rails themselves, right?
