My reasons were pretty simple...I couldn't fit a full size truck in my townhouse's garage, needed something with decent MPG, and something with a decent tow capacity. I had a diesel Jeep Grand Cherokee that I LOVED that fit all of these parameters, but when I had to get rid of it due to a...
I have a similar issue in my 2020 Ranger Lariat. When I want to warm up the car, it warms up well if the outside temp is quite cold. However, if I want it to be 75 degrees when outside it's something like 60 degrees, the air coming out of the vents is not even warm. Something is weird about...
I'm glad I found this thread, thought I was a wee bit crazy too. I have a 2020 Lariat supercrew and the heat in auto mode doesn't seem to work. Maybe it's just aimed too much in the wrong direction for my feet to feel it, but it also blows cool air from the dash vents even in heat mode. So...
Gizmokid2005, how much weight would you say you're towing? I'm interested in your experiences with the 100+ degree heat if you are towing around 5000 lbs. I'm used to watching my temp gauges on my previous towing vehicle and miss those a bit when towing with my '20 Ranger.
This is a great thread! I need a vehicle that tows my horse trailer a few times a year but fits in my townhouse's smallish garage. Had a 2014 JGC EcoDiesel (loved it) but it was getting ready to develop some major exhaust/coolant issues (did not love at all) so after much research and...
I have about 7000 miles on my 2020 Ranger Lariat, no special tune or tires, but I do have a tonneau cover. I drive about 350-400 miles per week, at least 80% of that is on the highway (if not more). Since I may need to tow a horse trailer at any time, I've been using 93 octane (can't find 91...
I do name my cars/trucks! My red Honda Fit was Cherry En Fuego, my white Jeep GC was Mobelle (female version of Moby Dick) and now my shadow black Ranger is Bullitt! I knew the name was from a car in a movie, but I quickly named it in the showroom when setting up my FordPass and didn't know...
I was glad to see this thread and hear from other owners that this is a "thing". I got my Ranger after selling my Ecodiesel Jeep Grand Cherokee, which I loved. The brakes are so different that I started worrying that there was a problem, but this thread puts my mind at ease. Now I love my...
Thanks - me too! Still waiting...the holiday slowed things down I think.
UPDATE: The piece of tire that I ran over hit the wiring harness in the front and damaged some of the wires. It will have to be replaced and hopefully, all will work normally after that. Thanks for everyone who sent ideas!
I didn't see anything leaking (oil, gas) while I was waiting for the tow truck (1 1/2 hours) but I didn't pop the hood - it's too dangerous to stand outside of your vehicle on the highway shoulder where I was so I stayed in the truck.
I just purchased my 2020 Ford Ranger a couple of weeks ago. The highways here are notorious for being hazardous with objects on the road, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised that I've already had to drive over a large piece of semi truck tire with this truck. The surprising thing to me is what...
