So did I! When i first installed the TM switch I was able to switch modes and I could tell it was switching between 2wd and 4wd but it didn't show which mode. Now I cant get anything to work. Even after switching the option for selectable drive modes with FORScan.
Good to know. I'm trying to do the selectable drive mode right now. Haven't had any luck.. I was thinking it was something to do with my truck not having the upgraded cluster to begin with but now I think I just got a bad switch off of ebay.
I work at a dealership. I just installed the cluster and programmed it using FDRS. When I first plugged it in it had all kinds of error messages since I don’t have BLIS or parking sensors etc.
As far as mileage goes i just got lucky and found a used cluster on eBay for $100 with almost the same...
Just stumbled upon this thread.. I had this same idea and went ahead and got the TM knob and trail control button. I tried messing around in FDRS with no luck and a few weeks plus a few other mods in between and I'm now back to trying to get this working.
Has anyone had any luck with...
The route i went with i got rid of sync when adding idatalink. I don’t see any reason for it really.
Also this kit has an OBD2 connection that you splice in so the port is still available
oh ok cool thanks. It came with a harness for the back up camera but no where on the truck to plug it in..
once i hook up the OBD2 wires i will upload another picture. Not sure what all is integrated in it with this radio yet.
I just finished installing mine. Actually the back up camera is the last thing I have to figure out. I can’t find Ranger instructions so I’m going off of F150 stuff.. can’t figure out where to hook up the actual back up camera from the truck.
This is a 19 XL going from the 4.3” screen to a 8”...
New wheels and tires on for a few weeks now. Mines just an XL so I updated the instrument cluster to the XLT style with 4.2” screen. One of my favorite upgrades so far! I hated that tiny little crappy calculator looking screen.
Got my wheels and tires put on yesterday!

Rough country 2.5” level kit and crash bar delete, also had to take out the plastic crash absorbers behind the fender liners and minor plastic trimming to the fender flares. I’m looking into getting some bolt...

It’s really not that bad I just don’t like how the underbody skid plate has that drop down. I did notice a huge difference on the highway though. It’s annoying as shit at high speeds. I saw a black out package FX4 XLT package at another dealer. I’m gonna pull the part # for that skid plate since...
I think they offer the FX2 option now. I just noticed a new fleet ranger that got brought in today. I've been wanting to take the air dam off of my ranger and was checking it out. Now that I saw it in person I see how easy it is to replace the skid plate! My STX has a skid plate with a big gap...
