I also have single-zone climate controls and want an upgraded infotainment system but don't want a bunch of unused buttons on the 4D Tech option. wish you could just switch the screen and not the whole center deck.
I've seen several threads about the differences/difficulties between the OEM hitch and aftermarket brands but haven't come across any sort of guide for installing the Ford hitch. Is there a thread that goes through an install? Sorry if this question on has been asked before. Thanks!
Is there any way to retain the single-zone climate controls on my STX with an 8" Sync 3 upgrade? The 4dTech option seems like it requires an entirely new fascia with dual-zone climate controls. Wondering if the Metra 99-5857B Dash Kit would allow me to reuse my single-zone fascia. Any ideas on...
I've thought about doing this but I have an XL without the dual climate controls and it kinda kills me that these kits only come with dual climate buttons.
Thanks for the response! Wish I had done just a bit more measuring and planning before I went with the 55". Have the 2nd Sweetroll ordered. Guess I'll find out.
I really like your setup. Do you like the ReTrax tonneau? I have the SuperCab and still want to be able to take the occasional load...
Thanks for sharing pics and your experience with this rack system. Do you think the dual SweetRoll setup would work on 55" crossbars? Our kayaks are similar. Looks like the 60" is the minimum. Thanks!
This is a random one but I was wondering if it would be possible to carry a bicycle upright in the bed with a Yakima tool holder attached to the Yakima Siderails? Maybe clamping to the bike's seatpost? Anybody here have a bike and the Yakima SideRails think this would work?
Like the title says I'm hunting down the different options for a head unit upgrade from the 4" Sync in my STX. I don't have dual climate so not crazy about purchasing a whole replacement fascia that doesn't match my truck. Can I get an 8" bezel and a 8" Sync upgrade without replacing the lower...
Hi all, wondering what options exist for upgrading the stock 4" radio in my 2019 STX. I've seen several people install aftermarket units but the wiring and splicing required for those is a little intimidating. I've also seen the plug and play 4D Tech option that includes the 8" SYNC display with...
Thanks for the detailed response. I unfortunately had the pleasure of dealing with Lief Johnson service department with my Fiesta ST several years ago. Was hoping there might have been some improvements since then. It’s almost like they didn’t think the Fiesta ST was a Ford at all. Like it...
Thanks for the tip on Truck City Ford! Never been very confident with any of the dealers near me. Any experience with Riata Ford in Manor or Lief Johnson on Airport? It always seems like the service reps hate their life and are determined to make mine miserable too. Would love to find a shop...
Awesome! Mine must have been near payload. I didn't weigh it or anything before I left. I'm always so frazzled trying to get away from the loaders that I never remember to get photos.
I'm debating a retractable bed cover but worried about using it to hauls big loads. Nice seeing yours in use as...
Oh and can't believe I'd didn't mention but the truck handled the 1/2 yard of granite with no problem! I'm new to pickups and the notion of a vehicle driving better with a load is so foreign to me. Everything felt like it was working to carry the load comfortably and under control. Loving how...
I decided to play it safe and split 1 yard up over two trips. Going for the 2nd tomorrow. Hitch is on my short list of must haves. Can't believe it's not standard on these trucks!
Yeah I did one yard in two trips today and will tackle the 2nd tomorrow. Worked out because I didn't really factor in shoveling and wheel barrow time.
I'm dreaming up ways to find space for a small trailer. A little difficult in our current house but I'm working on it.
